Not as good as they should be and barely hold open the trucks and needs help. I would buy better quality next time.

Amazingly easy to install
The real test will be ten years from now when we see if the shocks are still working. They seem to do the job nicely out of the box and were a cinch to install. I had planned the good part of an hour to install and ended up spending about 5 minutes for both sides.

Amazon web site says these fit a 1999 Buick Regal, they do not as they are about an inch shorter than the ones that they replace. Consequently the trunk lid only goes up about 1/2 way and I now have to duck my head to get anything in the trunk. Original struts allow the trunk to open straight up at about 90 degrees - with new struts, trunk opens about 45 degrees. Unfortunately, I procrastinated in installing as they go on a spare vehicle and my 30 day return period is up so I will put up with them until I get around to purchasing yet another set of struts. Just put them on today so cannot comment on longevity of the product

Had 2 problems:
Got 2 items to replace leaking ones in my old Buick.1) Checked compatibility - yes, they were compatible. It was easy to install... But they were about 1 inch shorter the originals... :o( The trunk could be only partially opened...2) In a week found a broken head? connector? in the trunk... :o(

These are a great value for a top brand part!
Perfect replacement for the trunk lid on my 2003 Buick Century. Works like new again. Took less than 5 min to replace, only needed a screw driver to pry the old ones off and these simply snapped into position.

The part did not fit, even though I used their guide to select the item, this was a lost cause.

Monroe trunk lifts are excellent
These shocks were a direct fit on my old Buick. The original shocks had failed and the hood would occasionally slam closed on your head or shoulder. After having that happen twice, I immediately purchased these and solved the problem.

ORDERED THIS ON A FRIDAY, IT WAS PROMISED BY THE FOLLOWING FRIDAY AND RECEIVED IT EARLY, ON TUESDAY. WHAT GREAT SERVICE. EASY TO INSTALL AND BETTER STILL, THEY WORK.
