SOG Salute Mini Tactical Knife- EDC Folding Pocket Knife with 3.1 Inch Blade, Adjustable Thumb Stud and Low Carry Bayonet Clip, Bead Blasted (FF1001-CP)

I purchased ne 2 years ago and recently gave it to a hunting buddy. Great knife, holds an edge, and multi use. Working around the house, on the boat, or hunting, this knife works.

As a knife collector, I have a Kershaw, Spyderco, and several others but nothing IMO compares to the craftsmanship, weight, blade sharpness, locking mechanism, and overall solid firm feel of a SOG in your hand. I keep trying others but always come back to SOG. I even have the keychain model which I use more than anything.

Looks great and was razor sharp. It sticks really bad when you try to release the blade to fold back up. But maybe that will get better with use. Overall good value for the money.

I like the size, sharpness, heft and feel of the knife. The thumb stud on the blade is worthless, I took it off after several attempts to open the knife with my thumb, I can open the knife with 1 hand by using 3 fingers, I pinch the top of the blade with my thumb and index fingers and use my middle finger to push down on the handle, the knife opens easy but not a flick opener, if you want a fast opening knife get a Kershaw they are as fast as a switch blade, but not as strong as the SOG, I wanted a strong utility pocket knife and this SOG fits the bill and was sharp enough to shave arm hair out of the package, I carry 2 knives, one clipped in my back pocket and one in my front pocket, the Kershaw is faster opening, lighter and just as sharp, the SOG will replace its bigger brother as my back pocket knife that I lost, this one feels just as tough as it’s bigger brother only about a inch shorter, I am well pleased, it a great utility knife but it isn’t a switchblade or fast opening knife.

Bought 2 of these as Christmas gifts and they have been amazing kinves! Locking system is strong and reliable, blade is scary sharp from the factory, and the belt clip is on the bottom for easy access. Almost bought the original Salute but decided on this when I realized how big the Salute was. This is not a tiny knife, it is about average for an everyday knife. Looks amazing too!

Love the shape and style of this knife. Pocket clip makes blade sit low on pocket - barely visible. Blade was not as sharp as I would have liked, but with a few quick swipes of the sharpener and that was fixed. Pocket clip is ambidextrous, but was happy the way it came. Feels like a quality knife that should last awhile, even as an edc.

Great knife for the price!

First off the quality is awesome it is small and lightweight fits deep into my pocket , nice look where ‘‘tis knife falls way short is that it is so stiff to open I need 2 hands to open it up and after a week and some oil it has not gotten any better. This is my experience with the knife I bought you may have experienced something different for the reasons above this knife will sit in the drawer

Un beau couteau. Il a l'air solide. Son défaut réside dans son poids trop important par rapport à sa taille. Il est également assez difficile à ouvrir à une main.

Incomoda de abrir, se hace mucha fuerza con el dedo, tuve que limar para poder apoyarme bien.pierde el filo muy rapido.
