Ready-made Lessons
This is EXACTLY what I wanted. I am teaching Sunday school and wanted a straight forward character lesson for 6-12 year olds. The book is large (8.5x11), perfect for making copies. It's content is right in the middle- so I can go a little deeper for older kids or simplify just a bit for younger kids. I love the application sections- we can act them out or just discuss. Love the memory verses, too.

Excellant Book
I love the way it teaches character. I am adapting it to the littles in my class, but look forward to using it with my grandson when he is a little older. Good Character is such an important quality.

Love the "what if" questions for real life situations
Lessons not too long so keep kids on track. I didn't buy the cards that go with it and wondered if it mattered but it doesn't. The KJV is used and I prefer my NIV so I hand write the memory verses in that translation and use an app on my phone to fill in the blanks for the study if the children can't figure it out. Love the "what if" questions for real life situations. Very good!

Just what I was looking for
A straight-forward, biblical-based character study workbook. I had been searching for a study for my 3rd grader to do on developing character... that didn't require me to do a lot of extra work. This one fits the bill! One page of Bible study, followed by a "what if..." application section. I will probably have my Kindergartener participate with oral responses.

A little stuffy and hard to understand
The shipper was great, but not a huge fan of the devotional. I have children with ages ranging from 6-12, and this definitely works more for my 12 year old. A little formal, and difficult to understand. I will definitely utilize the book, but in conjunction with other studies to make sure the younger kids grasp what we are learning, something more down to Earth.

Great resource
This is another great character training resource which I hope to use with my kids when they're a bit older. We're using bits of it alongside Character Building for Families Volume 1 which is a bit more in-depth.

Disappointed
Not what I was looking for at all. Was hoping for more of a lesson plan type bible study to instill/teach Christ-centered charachter traits to my children. This book was very vauge and lacking and left my kids and myself confused on where to go.

Great book!
Someone recommended the Boyer's books to me for character building in my grandchildren. I know I won't be sorry as we study with this book. It's concise and clear. Really appreciate that!
