Inexpensive, compared to some security cameras or systems, and no monthly fees as long as I'm satisfied to have only 7 days worth of recorded video. Works for me! I found the camera a little hard to adjust, but there's a setting you can use to tell when the camera picks up the motion you want. There's also a lag time between detection and recording ... only a second or two, but it's enough to miss some triggers. This camera, and additional cameras in this set, connect to my existing wifi router and send me messages that motion has been detected. I can also "live watch" what's going on for the area where I have my cameras aimed. Night vision is really good, in my opinion, as though there were a dim light shining on the area. I own two of these cameras, and with the limitations I've noted, they have so far (a few months now) worked great and reliably. For my purposes, these are a "5" --- good value for the $ for an inexpensive system.

We have installed three of these mounts for various outdoor Arlo Pro cameras, one into wood siding, one into a plastic coated wood pillar, and one into a brick wall. All went in easily and hold my cameras firmly in any weather, but also adjust easily as needed. They look good in place and allow my cameras to function as intended. The mount is all metal so I don't worry about plastic degrading or cracking in extreme temps. There are lots of cheap imitations available, but I wouldn't trust my expensive cameras to a cheap knock off. These are great quality and made for the camera.

I bought a lot of these mounts and they work great. Excellent quality and easy to install. They are also easy to adjust and will hold your camera in place without a problem. Beware of the cheaper models for less money. I bought two of them (cheaper models by brand X) and they are going into the trash. Screws broke off and couldn't get them to tighten down properly. The Netgear model is well worth the money.

This mount gives you about 5 inches of elevation while allowing you 360 degrees of rotation. You can tilt the camera approximately 90 degrees, which is handy. The mount seems to be sturdy. You have to position the camera where you want it and then tighten up the lock. The mount is sturdy and seems to do a good job of supporting the camera. The base of the mount has three screw holes and the mount comes with all the necessary hardware to mount it. Although not necessary, I use a bit of lithium grease on the threads. It is holding my camera nicely. I am happy with the mount and would recommend it.

I bought this to work in my carport that opens into an alley. I've had people break in through the carport and I needed something to record any activity. I had another camera in the back ( wired ) that could not see in the dark, but this thing works great. Its very dark back there and this night view works great and has some decent distance. I've been using this product for over a month and the battery power is still going strong. There are many things that trigger the motion detection such as squirrels and cats so its on a fair amount. I also will turn on live view just to check on things so the camera is used a lot. I have this installed in a carport that is pretty far away from the base unit and is behind our shed in the back so it has a good range. My two complaints are what I've read about before purchasing this camera: delayed recording and the ability to specify the trigger area. For the first critique, I get a lot of video where nothing is happening. I am pretty sure its some small animal running by, but there have been times I have walked by it and no video has come through. I would also enjoy if I could specify the areas in the image that trigger the motion detection. I have a DLink camera that allows you to specify what areas are not used to determine if motion has occurred. In my carport camera, there is a fence that squirrels constantly run on and trigger the camera. If I could turn off that area, I'd get a lot less false movements. Those are small complains from an otherwise great product. I already bought another camera and everything works great. I use the Android app constantly to check videos and view live views once in a while.

Great produce but I really didn’t need this, due to the one that the Arlo comes with was the perfect size. I plan on buying more Cameras so I’m sure I’ll use it in the future.

I like the cameras and I like how easy they were to set up but I was expecting the same features as a wired camera meaning I can have the live view up all the time for a live feed of what is going on in front of my house while I'm working in the office away from the front door. If I use them for a live feed on a dedicated monitor like my iPad I'm sure the camera batteries would be drained quickly and CR 123 batteries aren't fairly cheap like AA's or C batteries. I think these cameras are best designed to detect motion similar and record a clip of that motion similar to my "Ring" doorbell for that type of security use similar to a Field Game camera you can strap to a tree. Although they can be used for a live feed you would replace batteries constantly so perhaps having rechargeable batteries would help but that's not guaranteed. I love the true wireless capability but at the same time that's the feature which hinders their ability to do a constant live feed without constantly replacing batteries. I still give them five stars because they are great at what they are designed to do and the live feed part is my misunderstanding/learning so depending on what you're using them for they can be great. I think ultimately I need a camera that plugs into a power source.

Works much better than their other style of camera mounts! The reason I am putting three stars is the price! it's far too expensive for what it is!

Easy to use and fit especially suited for external fitting. The round magnetic mounts that came with my Arlo Pro (3 cameras) are nice for inside use, and they did work outside but the angles that you can attach the camera to were limited in that you couldn't get exactly the right shot of what you wanted to be viewing. Also i was worried that somebody may throw something at the camera to knock it off, although the magnets are strong. So I purchased 3 of these and they were really easy to fit, and i could set them exactly how i wanted, although I made sure they were high enough off the ground so somebody couldn't unscrew them, but you can get some additional security attachments to make it more difficult to take off. The brackets are solidly built and you can tighten the adjuster so it is really secure and wont change the angle unless you were to actually loosen it yourself. So i would recommend these, as the quality is great, and the way you can position the cameras is so much better than the supplied ball magnetic ones.
