Calm the F*ck Down: The Only Parenting Technique You'll Ever Need

I was pregnant and in a complete panic when I read this book. I needed comfort and belly laughs. All the other parenting books were giving me conflicting advice and I wasn't sure what I should actually read. I am so glad that this was recommended on my Amazon feed. It was a quick (and hysterical) read while I was pregnant. Now that I have a 3 month old daughter, the free time to read has passed but I pick this up just to read one of the many hysterical excerpts that kind of relate to my most recent parenting crisis. The hardest part now is whether I want to keep this for myself or give my copy to another parent who needs to laugh.

I read and wrote a report on this book for a parenting class I am in. I had no clue what to expect and I thought it meant something completely different before I read it. From a theoretical standpoint, this book has some good and bad information. I definitely believe there is more good information than bad. It's a fun book and would be a great baby shower gift! I marked in my book and highlighted the good and bad information and backed that up with support from theories.

If you have the "fortune" of being a new parent to a fussy baby that won't sleep or many other joys that come with a difficult child, do yourself a favor and pick up this book. Written from experience and plenty of humor that you'll need during the first 3-4 months. Enjoyed it front to back and would recommend this to any new parents. Plenty of useful and helpful information that you'll keep with you during the first year.

It's funny as a gag gift. It's more particular stories of things that have happened and why/how we overract or don't know what to make of things on the adventures of parenting. It shouldn't be in any way confused for a baby care book.

I got this for my daughter since she is a new mom. And I just thought it would be funny and not to take things too seriously when you get stressed out. She said she had wanted that book.

I bought this for my son who is having his first child! Although he loves to read I have a hard time getting him to read anything I want him to read but when I purchased this book he read it from front to back without putting it down. He said it was totally hilarious and very informative and helped make him more relaxed about having a baby.

Great book. I am a father of 2 boys and the thing is you live through everything that is described in this book and more that isn't here. But when I was reading (with my wife) we were both laughing so hard as if this book was written for us... Loved it

Gave this book as a baby shower present. The mom to be loved it. She says she’s read it from cover to cover and thought it was funny and cute.
