I viewed the rental version on instant video. It's brilliant! After watching forks over knives, Food Inc., I already had some idea about why eating a plant-based diet is good for you. However, Dr. Greger brings the scientific evidences from worldwide publications to support further the plant-based diet. What surprised me is that data show the vegetarian diet is an improvement over the average amercian diet, but the improvement is very small compared to vegan diet. In his words, "You have to go all the way (to vegan) to benefit fully from the plant-based diet". Well, now my new year resolution has changed from vegetarian (which I had hoped to include yogurt, egg, and a small amount of cheese) to vegan. Thankfully, I like Tofu, and the vegan cheese alternatives I found in the local stores are quite good. I guess I can give up on the eggs.Dr. Greger also added the 6th leading cause of death near the end of the presentation. It's surprising and very informative.Also, Dr. Greger has a good sense of humor. It helps with promoting the healthy lifestyle.At last, don't view this on amazon. Outstanding documentary, head above the all the rest out there, as Dr. Greger reads and shares with us all the leading medical journals that come out, and condenses it into a form that the lay person can easily understand, and his humor helps to make it enjoyable. In our opinion, his doctorate in biophysics and as an M.D., makes it reputable, and what is seen and demonstrated on this video will help people to live healthier and happier lives, and even possibly save those who have chronic degenerative disease.

A Must See
Every American should switch and learn from Dr. Greger. An avalanche of information has become available through research being conducted around the world that focuses on trying to explain why those in western countries die from heart disease, stroke, and cancer at rates vastly greater than our fellow humans in the rest of the world. Let Dr. Greger explain why: it's the food. A pleasant surprise for me was his engaging, witty, even self deprecating style which enlivens what can be, at times, tedious material to explain.

Eye-opening review of the medical research. Has really inspired me to make dietary changes that have affected my weight and blood work most positively. Highly recommend if you have or know or love someone with heart disease or cancer, which is the, by far, overwhelming majority of us.

Spot On! Dr. Greger Hammers Home the Truth
I have had the opportunity to listen to all of Dr. Greger's "Latest in Clinical Nutrition volumes. He continues to improve [his work was already excellent]. Both this volume, and "More Than An Apple A Day" are stellar performances in both delivery, breath and depth of knowledge. I have been in the nutrition and exercise field for over 34 years, learning from the best. Dr. Greger is one of the best presenters of information available to the world today.

I recommend that Everyone should watch this
Everyone needs to watch this. When doctors go to school for all those years to learn to be doctors, during that entire time they only spend about a total of anywhere’s from 2-20 hrs learning about nutrition. They are mostly taught what pharmaceutical drugs to prescribe for this or that. Basically becoming nothing more than glorified drug pushers. Here a doctor as gone back and learned how nutrition as the biggest effects on the body for good or bad and how many diseases and ailments can be reversed and cured by perfect nutrition.
