They could be a little bigger, but they get the job done. After struggling without having mitts for a few months, I picked these up to carry the stuff out of the oven and they work great. My only gripe is that they aren't that big, so you need to be careful.

They should work fine for youngsters and adults with small hands, but the mitts aren't deep enough to provide enough reach to protect my knuckles. They also aren't thick enough to withstand the heat from a heavy cast iron skillet hot off the stove, so you only have a short time to quickly finish what you're doing before the heat burns through to your skin. For most lightweight duty fingertip protection in the kitchen, these are OK.

I would like these better if they were a bit longer. (I have large hands.) I bought these specifically to lift the inner pot (or steamer basket) out of my electric pressure cooker, and they are perfect for that. I like that it doesn't matter if they get wet.

I'm only giving these a 3 star rating because I didn't like them, they didn't cover much of my fingers so I just kept burning myself. But the seller and price and even shipping time was great

I bought one set, originally planning to give both mini mitts to a co-worker. However, I decided that I wanted to try them, too, so I kept one mitt, and gave the other to my friend. These are great for taking hard cooked eggs out of my pressure cooker, and for pulling racks from the oven to reach whatever I'm cooking. I think one of these on one hand, and a flat pot holder in the other hand (to slip under your pot/pan) is perfect. I also have a pair of silicone gloves that reach half-way to my elbows, but this little mini-mitt is so much easier for kitchen tasks. I think the gloves may be put to more use as I get into barbecue season.

My mother has something similar to this and that is why I purchased these. They are much thinner than what I was expecting. They work ok, but can't hold onto a hot dish for too long.

These pot holders are actually very helpful. Though when retrieving a wire rack after it sat at 425°, you can still feel the heat where you touch it, a little bit. But that's not critical. Just wish they were a little bigger.
