I've been using these tips for more than 15 years with my WESD51, Imagine my surprise when this new tip just slipped right through the holder. Measuring the locking "collar" on the tip reveals it to be .2550in diameter, where as other tips are .2685dia. This tip diameter is too small to be locked in place.

okay - probably deserves a five star. I was only a bit disappointed because I wanted a tip for soldering fine pade (resistor trace pads etc) and this was a BIT big for that... so for general PCB use i might pick the 'D' size - which i did also. Just a tip. (no pun intended)

OEM replacement for the one my FSAE team had completely worn out. Heats up and wets great. A mid size chisel tip like this is a great all purpose tip for most wire sizes (8 to 24Ga) and even mild PC board work. A must have size for any soldering kit.

The "e" series tips are much better than the lower cost weller lookalikes, they hold their cleanliness better and seem to heat up quicker which I suspect is better metal composition. Now soldering boards correctly instead of chasing ghost grips in circuitry.Parts arrived a day ahead of time and will order replacements form Apex TG.

Excellent product, arrived faster than expected. I do wish there was a catalog of all the Weller tips that work with my model.

Works great as a replacement tip in my Weller Soldering Station. Recommended.

All purpose use for me. Holds tin well.
