Sharp factory edge and just the right size for everyday carry!
I've had this knife for about 2 months and carry it every day. My thoughts in order of importance are:1) The blade comes razor sharp. I work in hospital maintenance and construction. Just the other day I cut the corner off a thick rubber matt with a carpet topping with one consistent clean pull. Thumbs up!2) The knife is a very well built knife with no play in the blade.3) The lock snaps tight giving you a lot of confidence when cutting.4) The size is just right- I've had the Paraframe mini which is a nice compact knife, but a little too small. The Paraframe II is little too large in my opinion for everyday carrying.5) The tanto point is a terrific option for consistent safe cutting similar to a box blade/utility knife.6) Thumb pins on both sides are very nice. The blade is a little hard for me to flip out with only my thumb. BUT, with a little practice, you can pull the blade out a little with two fingers and then open the rest of the way with the thumb pin, all with one hand. The nice part of this is that the blade stays snugly in place.7) The side clip is large enough to clip to your pocket and it is tight enough to stay there.8) The black finish is very sharp looking and very smooth. it appears to be fairly durable but will begin to show some wear, but honestly that makes it look even better because it is USED and not just show piece. If you are looking for a great everyday knife without a big investment you will be very pleased with this knife.

Near Perfect
Pretty happy with the knife. For the $13 price tag on the medium it's worth every penny and more. I would be content paying twice that.Let's start with the basics. This is the medium, it is about 7 inches. This one does come with a serrated edge and thumb pins. The small version has neither.I came from a drop point paraframe 1, and as you can see from the third picture the 2 series changed the closing mechanism. It uses the frame on the newer models, which I am not a fan of. It makes the blade a little harder to close. It's still manageable one handed, but I feel it's only a matter of time until I catch my finger. On the other hand, the closing clip is what broke first on my paraframe 1, as I like to fidget with my knives. Overall maybe .5" or less smaller than the paraframe drop point model. The steel itself is decent, as I expect from Gerber. Out of the box workable, sharpened up to shaving level in a few swipes. Not a $200 knife, but we didn't pay that did we? Good weight and size, my new EDC. Exactly what I needed.

Takes a beating!
This product effectively fulfilled its purpose during a recent contracting engagement at a shop. It proved useful in opening boxes, cutting seals, scraping paint, and cleaning threads on unions. The blade maintains its sharpness and the serrations remain effective. Considering its compact size and versatility, this EDC tool offers excellent value for its price. I intend to procure another one in the near future.

Sharp, Secure, Affordable. Would recommend.
I carry this knife with me day to day. It's a nice lightweight knife with a decent locking mechanism on it. The blade was nice and sharp when I originally purchased, but with normal use it has dulled a bit over time. That's to be expected with any knife though so I can't complain. The blade how two little "nubs" on either side of the blade to help with blade to help you extent the blade from the handle. The blade was a bit tight when I first purchased it but has loosened up slightly over time, but not lose enough where you have to worry about it opening in your pocket. My issues with this would be with those "nubs". While carrying it in your pocket I've had a few times that they'll jab into my leg a bit. While it doesn't hurt since they are rounded and dull, it can still be uncomfortable when sitting down. That's the only reason I give this product 4 stars.Overall, it's a lightweight, sharp, and affordable pocket knife! I would recommend it for anyone needing a small pocket knife and doesn't want to spend an arm and a leg on some of the more expensive knives out there.

Great knife, even better company.
I bought this knife quite some time ago and I've carried it in my pocket every day since. It's perfect for every day use - the blade stays sharp, it's lightweight and it has a good strong clip, so it will never fall out of your pocket.Recently, I went to use it and the pivot pin failed. So of course, the blade fell right out of the handle and onto the floor.I contacted Gerber about their lifetime warranty, sent them a picture of the parts of the knife including the broken pin, and I received a brand new one in the mail a couple of weeks later, no questions asked. So back in my pocket it goes.

Solid knife. Would definitely recommend.
Would definitely recommend this knife. I bought this to carry while I'm working in the yard, around the house and for camping. In my opinion, this is a solid, well built and well designed knife. With a little practice, you can learn to open the knife with one hand. The knife is extremely sharp right out of the package and so far, cuts through anything. I love the Tanto blade. The frame lock works as it should and is easy to close using both hands. The handle is solid and gives you a sure grip. The clip is tight, which I like. You have to lift up on it a little to get it over your pocket stitching but this gives me peace of mind that it won't fall out. The weight of the knife feels just right to me. Again, solid but not too heavy. I bought the medium with the 2.9 inch blade and am very happy with it.
