Good quality at a decent price.
This is several years old but it is still in great shape. It lined right up on the holes in the frame so that made it simple to install. The wiring was easy to install as well. I recommend it.

Installed with Bumper On -- Duck Tape :)
I just installed this today. Everything looks good and works well on my 2012 jk. The bolts are metric 8.8. That's equivalent to grade 5. The hitch fit on the crossmember easily with about an 1/8" gap. When tightened down the gap went away. The powder coat looks good. INSTALL TIPS I was able to install the hitch without removing anything by duck tapeing the washer and nut on. You need to tape 2 opposite sides of the nut and washer. I also taped the nut and washer separate. The bolt is 19mm (you'll need an open ended wrench this size or 3/4") and the nut is 18mm (you'll want a socket for that). I put a bar over my ratchet to get the bolt torqued down real good. I would wear safety goggles and bring a small pillow to rest your head on. The wire harness is easy to install. You only need to unscrew the 2 innermost screws on the driver break light (the outside 2 just hold the light cover on). Then just wiggle it a bit and it will pop off. Put the screws back in a few turns right after removal so you dont lose them. You unplug the wire harness for the driver break light by pressing the middle "button" on the harness and wiggle. The trailer harness goes in that spot. The wire easily runs through a hole in the bottom of that cavity. I ran the wire over the top of the frame rail and behind the body bolt. I would add a couple 14" zip ties to back up the push plugs. The push plugs attach to the wire loom with just a couple wraps of electrical tape. The whole install should take about an hour and is rather easy. Anyone can do this.

Good Quality, Fits 2012 Model Just Fine, Great Wiring Harness
This fit perfectly on the 2012 Jeep Wrangler. I verified with the manufacturer just to be certain. Seems well made, really the only criticism I could make is that the instructions are a little vague in a couple of spots. But this is very easy to install, and took under 1 hour start to finish for everything. I recommend removing the bumper before you start, as this is MUCH easier to install without the stock plastic bumper in the way. There are only 6 bolts holding the bumper on, and since it's plastic, it removes easily. You'll save yourself a lot of time by taking the bumper off first. The included hardware is heavy duty, and seems almost overkill considering the maximum trailer load on these is 2,000/3,500 pounds depending on model. The instructions describe removing the factory tow hook first. Note that this refers to the center mounted tow hook. My model has a tow hook on the drivers side, which does NOT need to be removed for this to be installed. The wiring harness fit perfectly and is nicely designed to keep the harness up and out of the way. Make sure you snap in every white plastic anchor on the harness - each and every one lines up perfectly with the factory mounting points. Make sure the one behind the tail light snaps into the assembly. I took the tail light all the way and sat it out of the way and then spent several minutes looking for where to mount the harness only to realize it mounts to the light itself. Good product, and far cheaper than the OEM component.

Fits 2015 JK Unlimited.
Solid steel. This is a hefty and strong hitch. Installation: I read the other reviews from guys who put this on without removing the bumper and I did give that a shot. However, I disagree with that notion having done it for myself. There are only 6 bolts holding the factory bumper on. Removing the factory bumper takes only a few minutes and makes the installation of the hitch super easy. My recommendation is to just remove the bumper. It is light, only weighs a few pounds it is just moulded plastic.Once the bumper is removed, this is an easy job. Pros: - High quality steel. - Easy to wire and good instructions for wiring. - High quality finish - looks like a factory hitch. Cons: - Made in China. I just have a problem with that on principle. If it said "Made in China" on the description then I didn't notice it or forgot to look, but I would pay twice the price for something made in the US. - Instructions say that you must remove the tow hook. I have no idea why because the tow hook is not in the way and has nothing to do with the hitch or the wiring. Ignore that. - Engineering could be better. There are holes in the cross-member from the factory for the hitch. There are corresponding holes in the hitch. While the holes line up fine, the bolts are significantly smaller than the holes. This allows play during the installation and you have to be careful to make sure the hitch is not crooked when you tighten the bolts. I would have made the bolts the same size as the holes. Also, the gap in the hitch which slides up on the cross member is significantly wider than the cross member. You will pull the slop out when you tighten the bolts, but I would have made the gap exactly the size of the cross member. I just don't like all the slop and play that you have to pull out by torquing down the bolts and actually bending the hitch to fit. It has some room for engineering improvement. Overall, good quality and easy to install. I recommend (assuming you can't find an equivalent domestic product).

Wiring harness for the trailer plug is design for the USA not for Australia

This is my second Rugged Ridge Tow hitch for my 2nd Jeep JK. Considered other Off brand hitches that sell for almost 1/2 the price but decided against and stuck with this one. The quality was as good as I remembered. - Good welds - Heavy weight metal and solid design - Excellent paint coating to resist corrosion - Graded bolts strength - Perfect length wiring harness - Easy install Truthfully, I didn't want to skimp on price for an item that was so critical for safety when towing at highway speeds. With Rugged Ridge brand at least you know they are putting their name on the line to protect against failures.

Easy to install and excellent bit of engineering, not installed the wiring yet as not necessary at this point, but looks as professional as the rest of it.

Pude instalar sin problema yo mismo el hitch y funcionó sin problema. El precio es muy bueno si lo comparamos con el original y los materiales son muy buenos también. No le pide nada al original.
