Huge upgrade over factory pegs
I installed these on my 2009 KLR 650 to replace the slippery, rounded factory footpegs. The installation was not terrible, but I could see how some of the reviewers may have had difficulty if they had not installed pegs before. The grip is a huge improvement, no more sliding on the pegs. I wear a size 14 boot, and with the addition of these pegs and lowering the mounting brackets, it changed the feel of the bike completely for the better. I am satisfied with these pegs and would recommend them.

solid pegs, tight fit
Very solid pegs. Matte gray color with brushed outer surface. Teeth are sharp, great grip and way more secure that stock pegs. Came with very stout springs that actually made install pretty difficult -- it took herculean strength with a gloved hand (did I mention teeth are sharp?) and some light coercing to force pegs into position to be able to reinsert pin. Once installed they work great. My bike is a Gen1 KLR650.

New pegs sit a little higher than the stock pegs
Great quality for spending just a little more. The opening to slip the foot peg into on my 650 was a bit tight which made it that much more difficult to get that pin in. I used a Cresent wrench to slightly open up the space and they slid right in. while riding I felt a little difference when applying the rear brake like I had to push the front of my right foot down more. With the bike on the kick stand I measured up and found about a 3/8" difference. I adjusted my brake pedal to compensate, and all is good!

Razor sharp!!! I've cut myself on these several times but I'm not complaining.
These work well. I installed them on a 2018 KLR650. The spring is a PITA to install. Overall I like them. On the shifter side it seems like the pedal isn't perfectly level. I'm a heavy rider and purchased these because they are steel and not aluminum. I was afraid aluminum would bend or break. Mine are so sharp that I put a pool noodle section on each one so I don't accidentally cut myself when moving the bike around the garage. I had previously cut myself on several occasions, usually when loading the bike in a truck or on a trailer. On the plus side I have never slipped off these pedals and don't expect I ever will. These certainly keep your feet planted. The installation annoyance with the spring and the fact that the shifter side pedal doesn't feel perfectly level were the only reason I didn't give these five stars.

A must have farkel but more than that
Installed on my KLR 650 these are a great, functional addition. I did tape the outer surface and rattle can black the inner surface, it's more gray than black when it arrives, no big deal. Size wise they are about the same as my stock pegs. But ... my 13w Timberland boots sit flat across the entire surface of the peg. On the oem my boot rests at the apex of a rounded rubber, potentiality slippery, peg.The IMS PRO doesn't change the angle of the dangle of your current pegs. Mine are lowered 2". I'm 6' tall. Was not interested in aluminum billet pegs with multiple replaceable spikes (Tusk and others). More pieces, to what ends? Spikes on the IMS PRO stainless pegs aren't gonna wear out, fall out, break off or strip out. This was part of decision making. No additional vibration (it is a KLR), looks good (with a little rattle can), super functional (13w boots); like em a lot.

Meat eating IMS foot pegs on '08 KLR650 rock!
Great platforms for off-roading my 2008 Kawasaki KLR650. They seem strong, have a nice looking finish, and good fit. There are no installation instructions, but installation is fairly easy.Pop off the retaining clip on the pin holding the original peg and remove the pin. Yank out the original peg. Put the included retention spring over the only place it fits on the new peg. Hard to describe the orientation, but the U shape part of the spring will naturally slide over the metal mount point when you go to push the new peg into place. Push the original pin in from the top and put the retaining clip on.On one side, I found it was tight, and difficult to align the pin compared to the other side. I gave it a shot of lube which made it easier to work with. The pegs are probably going to cramp your space to the shift lever. I replaced my shift lever with a 1 in. longer IMS lever. I recommend a longer lever, but not the IMS one, it flexes a lot and scrapes the engine case. I'm going to pull it off and try reshaping it in a vice before I give up and try a different brand.

Nice product
These are very good quality, and you’ll be hard-pressed to lose your footing. As far as installing, the Steps are not difficult, but the process of lining the holes and getting the pin to slide through easily is a bit difficult. I didn’t need to make any modifications, but I did have to remove the peg brackets from the bike so I could more easily align the hole and pin. While installing, I removed the bracket to get the pin started, and reinstalled the bracket on the bike upside down so I could work the pin the rest of the way through. Once complete, I reinstalled the peg bracket in the correct orientation.
