Powerbuilt 12-point 55mm socket
OK, it's not a tool that I'd expect to have a recurring need for, but it does have both positive and negative features that should be noted: Thin wall, 12-point and stepped head-to-drive construction - a plus in all three instances, if torque specifications are moderate (200 newton/meters or about 150 ft/lbs or less). Teeth in the socket are formed to transfer pressure away from the sharp edges of the nut to the flat face, which reduces the chance of "rounding" the edges of the nut if the socket slips; that unfortunately limits the amount of torque that can be safely applied without compromising the wall of the socket. It is also much more compact and easier to use than 6-point, impact-rated sockets, but for high-torque applications it would be entirely unsuitable. I'll be using it on touring motorcycle bevel drive gears with a roughly 90 ft/lb (120 n/m) specification so it's entirely appropriate; other applications may require a more substantial part.

Perfect sizing - Works great for its intended purpose
Purchased this to remove the rear wheel nut on my Ducati motorcyle. Item seems to be of good quality and has been used multiple times without any issues. Please keep in mind this is a 3/4 inch drive socket so you may need to purchase either a larger ratchet or an adapter. At this price point I was unable to find anything close to comparable.

Fits 1098 rear wheel nut. Worked great.
Used it on my Ducati 1098 rear wheel nut. As mentioned by others, unless you have a 3/4 drive you will need an adapter. Torqued the nut to 170 ft lbs...no problems.

Quality socket for a good price. I used this on a 2013 Triumph Speed Triple to remove and install the rear wheel as it has a single sided swing arm with a single lug nut.

Best price on the net for a fast shipping 55mm socket
Solid construction, no worries and takes a beating. Bought this to remove the axle nut on a Multistrada 1200 rear wheel. Best price I could find for a steel 55mm socket.
