Installation is a process of trial and error, trying to get the mounting screws to just the right length to attach the base to the ceiling. I have these mounted to a 9' high ceiling and I can't really see the arms on the fixture. I can only see the base. But I think if I had 8' ceilings, the arms would show more. I purchased two of these and one had arms that were slightly off, requiring me to bend them a bit. But they bend easily, so it's not that big a problem. Also, one of the sockets for the bulbs was very difficult to use and I was concerned the bulb would break before I could install it completely. But patience paid off.Overall quality is not the top of the line, but once installed it looks very nice.

Have a little a small farm house with low ceilings. When I wanted to update the wiring I didn’t want lightning fixtures that hung to low and took valuable space. Theses are great! They have an old house feel but a touch of modern style. They also put out a lot of light. I put a Philip Hue color bulb in them which my kids love...and I admit looks cool.I will say that putting them up was a bit of a headache. I’m not an expert, but have done a few lights in my time. Theses have a setup I haven’t seen before. Not impossible but does have a learning curve. That said by the time I did the second one it was no problems. Would buy again.

everything arrived fine. However there was a problem installing them. In order to adjust and set the proper height of stem/fixure, you need 2 more nuts that go on top of the fixture plate. These were not included so we had to improvise - in a pinch, we used washers as spacers to set height and hold in place. Simply providing the 2 nuts would have saved a great deal of time and frustration. Also, they did not include the 2 outlet screws (other lights all come with them) Says to use ones that come with outlet box, but this was all new construction and no fixture boxes include these, again, had to improvise and use sheetrock screws to attach to boxes. Simple things that would make life easier if included. Otherwise, very pleased with light fixtures themselves.

Installed this into the kitchen. Using in conjunction with the 3-bulb version ( Murray Feiss FM273ORB Barrington 16-1/2-Inch Flushmount, Oil Rubbed Bronze with Opal Etched Glass ) in another part of the kitchen. The build quality is very nice and lamp looks great in general. Installation took about 15 minutes, the longest part being getting the mounting screw heights just right so that the lamp stayed flush with the ceiling. I'm using a CF in it and the light output is nice. Though, you can kinda see through the glass that the meat of the bulb is off center. I would prefer if the bright spot of the bulb was in the exact center of the lamp and not slightly off to the side. But, that might be the best that can be done without increasing the lamp height or shape. Anyhow, I still like it a lot, though. Very nice and it gives the kitchen a more refined look.

First off let me say that I would have given this light fixture 4 stars, but it arrived with some of the mounting hardware missing. After a trip to the local hardware store, installation was fairly easy. The light fixture is attractive and throws off a nice even light. I would recommend this light to a friend.

This lamp is just as attractive as it looks in the picture. It does require assembly but the assembly is easy once you figure out which part goes where. The first glass lamp shade had a chip in the edge but I got a replacement quickly and I didn't have to send the chipped one back, so no extra trip to the post office. I am very happy with the style and quality of this lamp.

When you see a picture you are not always happy with the actual product. This was not the case here. These lights are so much better than their picture. I am very pleased with the fixture. Shipped in a timely manner. Each piece I bought arrived separately. Good instructions. Decent packaging - no damages to product. Best price - I shopped around for 6 months because I replaced all the light fixtures in my home with this style.
