Handy tool to keep in house, office, or shop.
This was a much needed item for my office when I sold brass pins on eBay. It still continues to be handy to measure things when I cannot find my millimeter gauge. Its compact, flat, stores on a hook, and is well made. The numbers are easily read and don't seem like they will wear off anytime soon. Price was inexpensive, so was well worth the money for a lifelong tool.

Not worth it - inaccurate and poorly made
This wire gauge is very poorly made, making it inaccurate. The majority of the slots are off center into the drilled circles, and some of the side edges are even wavy (I have no idea how they even pulled that off)! On the smallest gauge slots (e.g. 32GA), between the larger ones, the slots are almost completely obstructed by burrs that have been rolled into them when the face of the disk was sanded. Bottom line is that it can't do what it was designed to do... you can't accurately measure the thicknesses of metal. FAIL.

Piece of Junk
This device is made of cheap steel (or very low grade stainless steel) with sharp edges. I used this as knife to cut open the Amazon packaging boxes. The hole sizes are inaccurate and some are not even round. I inserted #14 AWG wire though #36 hole and it was still too loose. The hole size from #14 through 36 looked exactly the same size. There is no way gauge size 36 would be of that thick wire. This is an absolute piece of junk. The piece said it was made in India.

Just What I Need
I need the tool to gauge wires that I use in jewelry. It's perfect for me, made of metal, giving it durability, and bring measures in inches and millimeters.

Not At All Precise... Knockoff cheaply punched out in mass by poorly made die
I bought this gauge and another gauge. They were from different companies but both were made in India. Neither is precise. Tested both by measuring the Wire Gauges with a Leaf Feeler Gauge and used a Digital Caliper as a reference to confirm.Might work as an informal quick gauge for general or hobby use. Was super inexpensive. You get what you pay for... though not recommended. Also, don't even buy for the yellow chart that comes with it. It has 12 typos.
