Techron Protection Plus Marine Fuel System Treatment, 10 oz, Pack of 1

This product can be regarded as a 'prescription drug' for one's vehicle. In the absence of a double-blinded clinical trial its effectiveness cannot be known. Of course, there are no clinical trials for fuel additives. So I base my judgement on my prior (and anecdotal) experience with Chevron products, namely their gasoline. That experience has been good. I regard Chevron gasoline as the 'best' I've ever used. So, I am inclined to believe this product of theirs does what they say it does. May I say again anecdotally that I've never experienced problems with my vehicles' carburetors/fuel injectors when using top-tier (toptiergas.com) gasoline in conjunction with an annual treatment of an additive such as this and with the use of fuel stabilizers (such as Stabil) for winter storage. Even with this regimen I have had small engine failures (weed wackers) due to the damage caused by the foolish addition of ethanol to gasoline. Ethanol immersion can destroy small engines with very small carburetor passages and materials not designed to withstand it.

This is the best stuff to work on a boat engine and great price ! Has great additives and you can tell seat of the pants the difference as dad as throttle response and coming up to plane .... no hesitation just great crisp throttle response on my 350 Mag Motor ! Highly recommend ! John

In my opinion, this is great marine fuel treatment! I use this in my PWC, and feel confident it protects my fuel system in between fillings.

Same Techron product I’ve used for years in all cars and equipment. No smoking and burns clean. Carb and injectors remain clean and without deposits. Will not clog fuel filters. Plugs on cruiser 8.1 engines last longer with no evidence of fouling. Contributes to easier starting and better idle.
