I got this book for my wife, who always wanted to get emus, then got emus, then needed to know how to care for emus <rolleyes>.She says it has good information, and she would know, because she's been raising them like children.If your wife likes emus, get her this book.If your husband likes emus, remember what your mother told you: "It's just as easy to fall in love with a rich man who doesn't like giant man-eating prehistoric chickens, as it is to fall in love with a poor man who does like giant man-eating prehistoric chickens."

I was looking for an informative book before purchasing emus but this is not the right book. "The fence should be tall enough to keep emus in" does not help me decide how tall my fencing should be. Overall I did not learn anything new and I think this book was written for kids.

The only emu is on the cover. The introduction features 3 OSTRICHES! And the back cover! Roger, please!

It is almost impossible to find excellent info on keeping pet emus., even online. Was so very excited to find this, and happy to see that it's packed with information! No pictures unfortunaptely but that just leaves more room for info. Got it for my sister and she was totally stoked!!! Your emu owning friend will not see this coming! :)

good book for beginners wanting to know the basics

Good info on feeding ... Repeats a lot of info in book , not enough learning Info !!!! Wasn't worth the $12.00 I paid for the book
