Love this product ghost wire hands down the best speaker solution

Years ago I installed flat speaker wire for surround sound and had jury-rigged a solution. I looked again at some speaker solutions and found these. The flat wire I have is not this brand, but the connectors work perfectly.1. What's in the box? You receive 4 of these connectors.2. Install and use?: These are basically tiny boxes (about the size of your thumb) with two holes for conventional speaker wire (and any screws - be sure not to simply open these as they are usually loose!) which tighten down. The flat wire is installed while the shutter is open. Once you put the wires inside you simply close the shutter and create a perfect connection.The boxes have screws to place these on the wall, but I simply placed these in a electrical box and these work fine with that as well...Perfect. If you have flat wire, this is certainly a terrific solution to making seamless connections.

I bought these to run speaker wire under a rug, and they work fine. Two gripes. Conflicting instructions on number of times to fold conductors before inserting in termination block. I would fold once only - otherwise too thick to fit. Second gripe is tiny screws for inserting speaker wires. My 16 gauge speaker wires were too thick, took some effort to get them to work. I think the screws should be larger to accept larger speaker wires.

Cover hinge is plastic and prone to breaking. I had to replace a couple for this reason.

These are great for connecting to the Ghost Wire. I would prefer that the holes (for connecting the wire that runs from the terminal to either the speaker or source) were just a little bit bigger in order to facilitate the banana plugs they sell. The plugs work great for my speakers and amp but I can't get them to fit in the terminals.

I two problems with these terminators - 1) where the adhesive strips to put them on the wall? and 2) did the manufacturer terminate their own products, stick it on the wall to see how behaves and look? There is 2mm gap between the wall and the terminated ghost wire because of hunk of plastic. Shouldn’t the wire be pasted flat as much as possible 😡

Only dislike is limitation of wire size connect-ability. Will use to connect a set of thin flat wires running under flooring. From termination block to amp, would have liked to be able to use something better and more stable. Product is fine; just my preferences.

Have not yet installed it so I am just rating the price and the delivery process.Much more expensive per foot than competing brands but reviews suggest that it is better quality. The terminal blocks cost more than the wire, and I had to buy 12 to get 10 for 5 wires.Delivered when promised. Not keen on the usual Amazon practice of dropping the parcel on the porch without even ringing the doorbell.
