I recently added this black gravel to my aquarium and I’m really impressed with how it transformed the whole look! Right away, the dark gravel made the fish and plants pop. It also created such a clean, bold background that makes colors stand out beautifully. The gravel was nice and clean (very little dust), and after a quick rinse it settled perfectly on the bottom without all the cloudiness or fuss some other gravels cause. It felt like a solid, and good quality and gave my tank a polished, finished look. My aquarium now looks more vibrant and “designed,” and the gravel gives a nice base for plants and decorations Everything feels more put-together than before. I recently added black rocks to my aquarium, and they look absolutely beautiful. I used this gravel to refresh my aquarium setup, and the difference was immediate. 1st- these are NOT white rocks. They are natural colored stones PAINTED white. My concern is that over time; the white may wear off. However because of the way they are painted- some of the natural stone color shows through almost making them look porous or like coral-which I really like. 2nd- if you are like me.. it’s hard to judge the coverage of a 5lb bag of rocks; so I am including a pic of what x1- 5lb bag looks like in my narrow 15gallon tank. My layer is thin- but I didn’t want to add more weight. 3rd- there are some super small pieces that because I have a tight mesh strainer- they did not drain through. SEE pic! I did find that at first some of them floated on the top of the tank… but if you poke at them with your finger- they sink! I’m happy with them for the price. I’ve also included pics of the ricks close-up so you can see what I mean. Over-all good value.

This is terrible quality black dyed gravel. It breaks apart very easily and crumbles into tiny pieces and despite rinsing it, my fish started dying a while after placing it in their tank. After removing them 3 out of five died and suffered in the process. Totally toxic and unsafe.
