I love this varnish because it's soft, shiny, easy to use. And the results are the best. You can use it on oil even though it's not dry. Great

I've been using Gamblin Gamvar for years low odor Vanish for Oil & Acrylic Paintings - I ran out and used a Damar Vanish also a great product but the odor is tooo harsh for me. So happy when the Gamblin arrived.

Product is not high gloss, more of a satin finish. Takes about a day or two to dry completely.

This was the best one I ever used. It had a great shine to it so easy to use to.

Loved the fluidity. I did two coates of 4 paintings and used less than one quarter cup of varnish.I purchased a varnish brush which was fine. Just be aware of looking carefully as you work to pick off any loose brush hairs that may have come off. Clean up was not difficult. I patted off any varnish on the brush with a paper towel, dipped the bristles in abit of olive oil and worked it in to remove residue, wiped and patted off once more than washed with warm water and a drop or two of Dawn dish soap, rinsed and let dry! Highly recommend!
