Sometimes my A/C stops working because the drain is clogged, fortunately I learned how to fix it myself. All you have to do is suck the clog out of pipe with a dry/wet vacuum cleaner, but the hose on the vacuum cleaner is much bigger than the drain pipe and this solved my problem. Attach this to the vacuum and insert the other end into the pipe and you're good to go. This adapter provides a good seal which increases the suction power. You get your A/C fixed in no time and save the charges from an A/C company, specially if it's on a weekend which will be an emergency call.

I needed to exhaust my new Dewalt model 780 mitre saw's dust port. With this adapter, I was able to use a razor knife to trim off the unnecessary extensions and adapt the dust port to my shop vacuum's 2-/14" hose. Worked great! If this had been made of hard plastic, it would have been very difficult to adapt. Check the attached size chart to see if the ID or OD of each step matches your connection needs. If the OD is too small, then the ID of the next step might be right. Don't be afraid to use a sharp knife to modify this inexpensive part.UPDATE 7/11/2016 - I just got another one of these to fit between my Kreg K5 dust port and my Shop-Vac 2-1/4" hose. Works like a champ!

I had originally purchased this for my DEWALT D26451 Orbital Sander. I first was trying to figure out in what ways I could get it to fit so at first I was disappointed because the smallest end would not fit, but the larger end would fit, but then when the other end was hooked up to the hose it simply was too small to slide on the ShopVac, what I did find though was that on the small end, simply by cutting off a single tier to the adaptor that the next notch up fit my DeWalt with a slight bit of modification. I give it 4 stars because after I cut the small end off it does exactly what I need it to, I took away a star because I had to modify it, but other than that, this thing worked beautfully for what I needed it for... so If you have a DEWALT D26451, THIS WILL WORK, but you will need to cut the smallest tip off using a razor and trip up the inside of the cup and need to stretch it slightly and after that it just slips on like a glove. Since I purchased this exclusively for use with my D26451 modification was not a big deal and especially since the modification was a simple and easy 2-minute fix.

I don’t yet have a dedicated dust collection system in my studio, but I needed something for my new scroll saw. I cut off all but the last section on the adapter using a utility knife, and it’s the best fit for my cordless shop vac. It’s not a 100% perfect seal on my shop vac hose, however the suction is great. It reduced my sawdust by about 95%! Very pleased.

Servicing swimming pool requires blowing air out of water pipes in winter. Shop vac can do the job, but tube from vac is too big for pool air hole. This offers varying sizes entry points and worked great getting the dine…attached to shop vac, air blowing through to return then plugged hikes and pool is ready for winter without water freezing and expending damaging flow pipes.

You need to cut the adapter to the size you need. Since I have different tools with different sizes of suction inputs I would have to buy several and cut them to the respective sizes. That's kind of expensive!Also the fit is loose, so you should probably use a collar or (yuck) duct tape to get a more secure connection.While it'll manage to do the job, I'm kinda disappointed for the price.

I measured carefully, and this item fit perfectly to join my 10" Ridgid table saw & 4" Ridgid shop vac (both Home Depot products). The material is heavy duty rubber, not plastic, so it'll stand up to hard knocks. I simply sawed away the bits I didn't need with a hacksaw, sanded away the burrs, and I was in business. Took about 3 minutes. I appreciate how the product description makes it easy to see the product dimensions, both Inner Diameter & Outer Diameter. BTW the outer Diameter of the biggest piece is 2.5"

Its expensive for a simple plastic product and I wish it would be accomodate more "pipes/sizes" but it helped me to achieve what i wanted to do so ..

A Great add on to shop vac ..you can attach it and turn your vac into a compress/blow air.. I cleaned out some plastic hose line for a/c drain.

I bought two of these and they worked great. The plastic/rubber material is soft enough to cut and shape with a knife yet rigid enough to do the job.
