Giant sucker
It’s the best sucking thing since.... very detailed instructions to put together but it comes in a lot of pieces. Plan 5-8 hrs to put it together.

Excellent product, terrible instructions.
The first thing to note is the outstanding packaging of this tool. Small to medium sized parts were in properly sized cutouts in the top piece of Styrofoam. The main body of the collector was surrounded by thick Styrofoam and there was plywood corner protectors at each corner. As the video indicated, it did take several hours to assemble this thing, due to how many parts were not attached to the main assembly for shipping reasons and the lousy instructions. The one thing that kept me from rating at 5 stars is the instruction manual. There were a couple steps that were not even covered and the photos were terrible, many of them useless. Also, at some steps where hardware had to be installed it would have been nice to know which direction a bolt or screw had to be inserted, rather than getting to almost full assembly before finding out I had it wrong (again, this is where a good picture would have made it clear even if the text didn't explain). This collector is very heavy and since you have to first do some disassembly and then partial assembly with the unit on its side, the recommended 2 person lift (or even 3) should be observed, 2 to lift at one end and a third at the other end to keep it from sliding on the casters. When I finally got this beast powered up and connected to my ductwork, it was obvious that this was going to be a big improvement, even before I made measurements of velocity and CFM, which turn out to be almost double what my previous collector provided (115V, 1 1/2 hp motor spinning a 12" impeller compared to Laguna's 240V, 2 hp motor and 14 1/2" impeller. As soon as I turned it on with no tools running I could hear leftover dust and chips being pulled through the ducts due to my inefficient old system.I also have a Laguna Band Saw and it is clear to me now that they make solidly built, rugged woodworking tools.
