Store the unit in a cool, dry place-never in a hot car, glove compartment, or trunk. Replace the refill when the green use-up indicator dries up (Repeat Steps 1 and 2). 10-year-old product! Arrived damaged.
The batteries were inside the fans and had been for many years. The batteries expired in 2012 and leaked acid inside the units. There was an expired coupon from 2011. Enough said. Amazon gave me a full refund. I would look elsewhere for your OFF fans.
