Safe and effective! Works as I hoped it would.
This is such a cool tool. I can reset traps and use it to hold traps open to remove those caught. It keeps me from worrying about the trap accidentally catching my thumbs (true story - hard to get thumbs out when both are trapped). I use it with confidence when clearing and resetting traps. Beats the heck out of the usual steel bar setters. Love it!

Safety and ease in one package.
First of all, when using traps, be super careful every step of the way setting them up, or you are going to get hurt. Secondly, use safeties and plan every step setting the trap, and removing safeties once set.Lastly to the point, this tool is fantastic, I have used it for years, it makes the job easier, and enhances safety at every step.Buy this product you wont regret it. I have been using mine for years on hundreds of trap sets, it has held up well.

A must have
This is the only setter I'll use on the 330s. It only takes one hand to operate, and without having a gorilla grip! The one hand feature is very important. If you get yourself caught in a 330, you're doing real damage to yourself every second that passes. This is the only setter I've found that I can operate with only one hand. Is it a bit pricy? Yes, but if you get caught in the swamps without it, you'll wish you had spent a thousand dollars on one in your pack!

Awesome. A true must have for trapping
This is an awesome tool to have in your gear bag for resetting conibear traps. It even works good on 330's. I bought one of the big scissor type tools that also works, but this makes it so much easier. Once you learn how to use it, I believe it can be operated with one hand for somebody that might have a disability or only one good/strong hand..... or if you get your hand caught in a trap. All jokes aside, I'm new to conibear traps and got my hand caught in a 220 a couple months ago. I used my scissor tool, but it was a challenge with only one hand. I now know from experience that this one would have been way faster and easier to use in that situation. I tied my new conibear safety/retaining tool to this with paracord and use it religiously now. Those are two tools I will never go into the woods without when I'm trapping.

High priced for what it is
It does a Great job in compressing the springs on my traps. My BIGGEST complaint is its way over priced for what it is, should only be half of the price.
