I purchased this so I could have a 2nd dough hook for my 5qt Kitchenaid mixer, it fits & works just like the one that came with the mixer. Great price!

Fantastic replacement hook
This hook replaced the original hook that came with my kitchen aid mixer that we received 30 years ago for a wedding gift. The geometry is a bit different than the original. The hook is slightly canted to one side and the disk at the top is a bit smaller. The hook design causes the dough ball to twist in such a way that it kneeds it VERY thoroughly, better than the original one! The smaller disk at the top allows easier access down in to the bowl with a spatula to scrape the bowl while it's running. This was an excellent purchase and will definitely buy again if necessary, but since the first only lasted 30 years I doubt that I will need to.

I've decided to become Pizza Boss so I ordered this to add to my kitchen aide so I don't have to knead so much! My kitchen aide was handed down to me and was purchased in 1966. It's as old as me!! This hook fit perfectly and works great! It was shipped immediately and I received it in 2 days. The box arrived a bit banged up but it didn't seem to hurt the product.
