A spectacular scene, good for the figures. But that's really it.
A decent Potter set from one of the most iconic scenes from the Potter saga. The Tom Riddle grave is somewhat interesting but not a very challenging built. If you ask me, the most unique feature of this set is probably the fact that Lego produced a grave - quite macabre given the company’s restraint on such matters. The main attraction are the figures, baby Voldemort (note I’m just openly mentioning his name here), a Deatheater, Peter Pettigrew and Harry, who is in the monitory and of which we already had a few versions. Given the range of characters included this set is probably most satisfying for play and the rising Voldemort feature is particularly interesting. And as in the movie, Harry can be held captive by the statue on the grave. But this 184 piece set it is less appealing from a construction point of view. Moreover.. . by now our households literally creaks from an excessive amount of Lego sets. These are great quality toys that the whole family can enjoy for play, display and most of all the construction phase. But we already have too many sets from too many different lines; Lego Disney, Elves, Friends, Ninjago, Jurassic park.. and more recently Star Wars. Not to mention the extensive modular houses oh .. and train sets. I’m mentioning this as I wasn’t looking to extend the range of lines even further. Our oldest daughter however has a Potter obsession and has been asking for these Lego themed Potter sets. I was a bit reluctant as a.) she has other interests than Lego and frankly has built probably too much along with me in the past. So she is actually quite hard pushed to complete a Lego project set by herself these days, they remain there waiting for weeks on the table top to be completed. And once completed, she doesn’t play with it much, if at all. Quite unappreciative. b.) I don’t think Harry Potter as a theme lends itself very well for Lego. A graveyard, a dragon, a carriage.. all items we had several times in other lines and there is a lack of spectacular and realistic creations such as the spaceships in the Star Wars line or the Mechs in the Ninjago line. So I’m not such a fan of these Harry Potter sets, and Lego might not be either given that there is only a small range that seems to be there more to satisfy Potter fan than keen Lego builders. Anyway my fears regarding my daughter’s interest were confirmed. The build wasn’t very demanding for her. But the progress was once more agonizingly slow. So we might soon recycle her few Potter Lego sets on auction sites.

Harry's duel at the Little Hangleton graveyard
This set represents a scene from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, it features four minifigures: Harry Potter, Lord Voldemort, a Death Eater, and Peter Pettigrew (Wormtail from the Marauders), there are also many little accessories which include a cauldron, Harry's blood, Peter's hand, a bone, a baby Voldemort, and the Triwizard cup. Although the Little Hangleton graveyard scenery is quite compact, it has plenty of details, such as the headstones and the Angel of Death statue complete with scythe, there's also a lever which raises Lord Voldemort from the ground, which adds to the interactive elements of the completed model. Set 75965 has 184 pieces, and whilst not the smallest of the 2019 boxed Lego Harry Potter, at £19.99 it does share the lowest price for an individual set, Expecto Patronum (75945) is the same price with only 121 pieces, so The Rise of Voldemort could be viewed as better value for money. Overall, a worthy addition to the Lego Wizarding World releases, and another nice little set for fans or collectors.

Suitable for age indicated, fun putting together. Easy to moderate for build, guidance included.
A relative of mine, only very young but of the age as per guidance from the package loved putting his Lego set together. Hours of pleasure as always, as you would expect from Lego.
