Does not work in bed
This might work for the casual reader in bed. However, when I was down after hip surgery in addition to a broken wrist, the book holder did not work for me. It would not stay upright and hold a book so I could read.

This is great
I use this every time I read. I have degenerative discs in my neck and this really helps minimize the pain from looking down. I can use this on the couch, bed or table. This really saves my alot of pain. I never want to go without this.

Disappointed
Some reviewers noted the legs fit tight. Lucky them. Mine the legs fell out whenever you picked the holder up. Shims helped (not supplied). Fact remains, the leg fittings are friction only, hardly a quality design. Then I found it useless to use in a chair, unless you can read something just two inches from your face It will work in bed, in fact it will work in bed whether you turn the legs forward (bed position) or back (chair position). In summary, stay away from this badly designed product.

One of the 'arms' does not stay put. Since it was assembled, it keeps falling while I am trying even to glue it!
This product looks fine in the picture. "In person," though, it is another story. It does not stay up, one of its arms keeps falling. It is badly made. Problem must have started in the factory. Apparently, product was not 'revised'. For absolute lack of time, I did not return it. But it is useless, since it does not stay firm and erect as in the picture. I would not recommend it.

it's good for some situations
Well, it's good for some situations, but not as a whole corrective process for reading in bed or in a chair. Actually it's better for reading in a chair for me. I have back problems, that prohibit me from sitting up straighter in bed to use this book holder, so it can work at times if the book is not too big or heavy. I'm glad I have it, but I wouldn't promote it for people with back and neck problems. Thanks for the opportunity to review it.

Love to read in comfort!
Last summer I was over come with bi-lateral carpal tunnel pain. I am an avid reader and was unable to hold on to anything without a great deal of pain. The "Bed Chair Book Holder" allowed me to read holding my books close and secure with the to adjust angle and position. Folds flat to store by the be. Couldn't read without it!

Very lite weight
Good for holding little books or lite weight books. Can not hold thicker books or textbooks. I bought it for my textbook because I read a lot in bed, but it would stay still the book was falling of due to it thickness but I used the pillow to support it.

Cheap
This bed book holder is not of good quality. It does not stay firm in the bed and the legs are flimsy. When I tried to get information about how to send it back, it took forever. They sent postage for 2 pounds and the post office says it weighs 3 pounds. I am still waiting to hear back from them about sending me the remaining postage.

Five Stars
I bought this for my 95 year old Mum, who finds holding large books difficult to hold.
