The media could not be loaded.  Rather than drone on about this lock, let me highlight some things it does:Your whole family can have their fingerprints entered into this lock (up to 10)Lost keys are a think of the pastPerfect for things like gym lockers, luggage, security of women's purse when shopping (my wife locks the top of her purse and the handle to the cart when shopping)Anyplace where you might need to unlock quickly and not have to fumble for keys.Now folks, that is about it, anything not exposed to the weather 24 hours a day can probably be handled by this lock. It is not a high security lock but you would need a set of bolt cutters to get it open without the proper fingerprints. I give it 5 Stars because I have one closet that I keep locked but need the adult members of my family to have access, this is a MUCH better solution than making up a handful of keys that get lost or forgotten. 3000 unlocks off of 1 charge and 50 after it tells you to charge it should make it pretty foolproof.

One day, I configured the lock. It worked fine. Tested it ten times. The next day, I used it to lock my locker at the gym. Before exercising, I tested it again. All good. After working out and showering, the lock failed to recognize my fingerprint. I tried at least ten times. I put my hand under the hot air dryer, thinking the moisture in my skin might have affected the lock. No luck. To get into the locker, I had to get a gym guy to cut the lock off. Apparently, something about exercising or showering changes my fingerprint enough that the lock can’t recognize it. Two hours later, it worked fine again. Too late. A selling point was that, since no app or code could be used to open the lock, it would be more secure. Hah. It locked me out with no recourse but to destroy it.

I purchased two of these units and was so excited to get them. First of all, the thickness of the metal loop is thicker than most TSA luggage locks, thus it wouldn't fit through the designated luggage lock holes on any of my 5 different suitcases from 3 different companies. You can still loop it through the pull zips if your pull zips have holes, but this is much less secure and it's a shame the metal loop is too thick.Secondly, after using it halfway through a 2 week trip, the fingerprint reader because less and less reliable. Instead of unlocking on the first try, it now takes on average 3 or 4 tries before it will unlock. The fingerprint scanner seems to get progressively worse until it hits a steady state of 3-4 retries.In addition, the rubber cover for the USB charge cable keeps coming off and doesn't stay put. Minor issue.Cannot recommend this lock at all. Not sure how it got so many positive reviews.

I was using the little pin hole on the side to try and get it initially set up and to then add fingerprints. It seemed to work well, but I found myself wondering how to do a factory reset on it, and if doing a factory reset was as simple as holding in the side button or not. It seemed somewhat confusing from that angle as to whether I could potentially be prevented from unlocking it if someone with bad intentions wanted to reset it on me. Probably would stick to a more traditional combination lock. There was also no "key override" that would be nice to have as part of a reset function. Good idea, I suppose, but seems like it could be an issue at some point.

Hell to program, because the instructions are incomprehensible. When I finally DID get my fingerprints programmed in, and it seemed to be working a charm, opening and unopening with ease, I locked a bag with it. A week went by, before I tried to unlock it again. During that interval, it had FORGOTTEN EVERY FINGERPRINT KEYED INTO IT. It's lighting up red, so it's not out of power. It just will not recognize my fingerprints.Nothing I do will get it to open. I washed and thoroughly dried my hands using soap, then alcohol. Then I cleaned the fingerprint sensor. It still will not work. It will not allow itself to be reprogrammed, either.Unless I can manage to hacksaw through it, and I'm pretty old and weak, I'm going to have to throw away the bag, contents and all. I can't tell you how frustrated and angry I am with myself for having let myself be talked into buying this piece of crap

Although the instructions to program this lock are not clear, I did manage to get it programmed without too much trouble. And I love using at the gym and not needing to memorize a code or carry a key. But the lock is always hit and miss. Most times I can get it to open after about 4-5 tries. But yesterday I hadn't used it for about a week and decided to test it before locking my items up, and after 5 minutes of trying I could not get it to open. So luckily I didn't lock my stuff up because I don't think I would have gotten it open again. I came home and charged it just to be sure and tried to reprogram it, but because I am the admin fingerprint it was giving me a hard time even trying to start over. Finally after it fully charged I was able to add a couple more fingerprints from 3 of my other fingers. And we will see how it goes. I want to love this lock, it is just a bit unreliable and without a backup key or something I can see how you could end up having to cut off the lock like others have stated.

Awesome high tech lock! My wife is a preschool teacher and has to keep a lock on a cabinet with scissors and other stuff that kids might get into. She often wears dresses and didn’t like dealing with getting keys to open the lock. This lock now opens instantly with her fingerprint, and since I holds multiple fingerprints she set it up so her teaching assistant and principal can also open the lock instantly.Metal casing and very sturdy, and the shackle is spring loaded so it pops right open within a second or less of having a finger on it.
