I love this book! The directions are clear and easy to follow and there are pictures for every recipe as well as the step by step instructions. I got this for my children and they love it. Truth be told, I actually REALLY like it for myself as well! It definitely appeals to all ages. The treats are delicious and look impressive as well! There is a huge variety of flavors so everyone is sure to find something they love. The kids were especially excited to make donuts at home. Before this book, I never knew how easy they were to make! You can buy a donut pan for less than the price of a dozen donuts at a chain store. There are several different donut recipes in the book, and they are so much better than the ones you buy. The apple cider ones taste just like the ones at the orchard! The book is divided into holiday sections but all the treats can easily be used for any occasion. It is so nice to have an actual book, with pictures, that you can mark up with notes, that you can actually hold, that the kids can fully explore, and that doesn’t have a screen that keeps turning off as you cook! This is a great addition to any kitchen and a wonderful gift for all kids... and adults as well! I would say kids of all ages would enjoy baking with this book with an adult and that a child could use this to bake independently as soon as they are able to safely use the kitchen appliances and read the instructions carefully (probably at least 10). Highly recommend!

It is the perfect cookbook for kids who are working toward becoming independent in the kitchen.The photos in this book are LOVELY. If your kids watch recipe videos online, a cookbook MUST have fantastic imagery to be appealing, right?!? This baking book passed the test with my kids with flying colors.The book is broken down into four seasonal sections — Winter Festivities, Spring Parties, Summer Celebrations, and Fall Fiesta. But what I love is the "Becoming Bakers" and "Baking School" sections in the intro of the book — SO GOOD.If you want, you *can* do the recipes with your kids, but most are easy enough for them to do solo. I like that there are safety instructions and "ask an adult" references on specific recipes in the book, too.The 'SO COOL' part of the book for my daughter was the Holiday Index, which says, "There's always something to celebrate!" The index includes a list of playful holidays throughout the year as well as recipes from the book to make.This cookbook is the PERFECT gift for an independent baker in training!

I just found this book by searching Amazon for what looked like the best baking book for kids. After browsing many "look insides" I selected this one. It has been awesome. My just-turned-11-year-old has learned so much and been able to do these recipes independently! All the recipes have been delicious! Highly recommend. After her skills ramped up with baking, I purchased this author's cook book. It has been just as good! Having help with cooking and baking has been such a huge help to me as a mother of five. Bought this for my daughter for Christmas. She is 10 years old and found this book easy to follow. she made cupcakes from scratch following a recipe from the book and they came out wonderful. She felt confident after completing the recipe. this book is fantastic.

Check it out from the library and loved how it was written, so decided to buy it. Great for kids learning to bake. My daughter (13) made my birthday cake from book all by herself. Love the pictures too!

This book is fantastic! My son loves picking his own dessert recipe and completing start to finish. I love that the recipes use common ingredients so I can always say yes to what he wants to make. No expensive ingredients to buy just to use a 1/4 tsp. If you have a child who enjoys cooking buy this book!

Bought this for my 9 year old niece who has gotten into baking. She has really enjoyed trying out the recipes in the book and made some very nice doughnuts!

The book looks great for my 9 yr old granddaughter, lots of easy to follow recipes and pictures with every one, but disappointed that it is a bit bashed on the corner as it is going to be a gift. 😠 Will try and iron it out though before sending back!
