Rocky Men's FQ0005005 Mid Calf Boot

Well I used to buy these years ago,then saw Amazon had them cheaper so I re bought them again remembering that they were comfortable but heavy at first. It'll take a few wears to get used to them ,not a bad purchase if you use them everyday they probably go a year or more.

The quality of materials of the outsole is terrible. Wear them for only a few miles and it starts wearing out super quick losing its traction and pealing off of rubber.Don't buy. Even most Walmart boots with rubber outsole are much better quality and only $35.Only 2 stars because of fancy looking and Made in the USA.Buy Red Wing for much better quality or buy hiking boots of good brands.

Many years ago, on my achy feet for long shifts, I asked my postman why his feet didn’t hurt. The answer was his Rocky boots. I’ve worn them ever since. They are NOT mid-calf, but give great ankle support & are postal approved.

For those who spend alot of time on their feet because of job requirements will find the Rocky Duty Chukka Swat Boot a must have in their wardrobe. Two words: COMFORT AND QUALITY. And its made in the USA. If you have foot problems (ie:corns, calluses,etc) try this shoe on for size. Recommend a half size larger than you would normally wear for those days when you wish to use extra thick socks and a wide width. Your feet will thank you at the end of your workday.One word of warning for those who live in tropical climates where high heat and humidity is ever present, the rubber sole tends to deteriorate very quickly. Left mine in the box for a couple years and when I tried to used them the soles literally fell apart. Otherwise a great shoe for those who spend a lot of time on their feet

Purchased these “boots” because they are USPS approved and several other carriers wear them. They took about three weeks to break in. I almost gave up on them. They hav a very cushiony sole. Are quite comfortable to walk in and for the most part keep the feet dry they are very long won the ankle and give almost no support. I like them but I would prefer if they were a little higher on the ankle. Still wearing them everyday. Not sure if I will purchase again.

I used these to replace the thorogoods I had been wearing for two years, but am replacing them after three months of walking around a hospital facility all day. They are every bit as comfortable as the thorogoods, but the dole isnt solid rubber there is a foam layer about two millimeters under the sole finish and they do not retain slip resistance a well. But I am replacing them with the same rockys because they fit and walk better. And american made thorogoods have gotten way too spendy I buy American when I can Keep it up Rocky just put more rubber in the soles.

I've had these for a month and sadly the left sole is starting to separate at the arch.Been wearing these particular shoes for a couple of years now. Never had this problem.I've been a walking mail carrier until now. My new route is all driving. So I was very surprised and disappointed to see this.

This was the first time I ordered shoes online. Sizing turned out perfect. I normally wear Indian size 9 or European 43, and prefer wide toe designs. In this instance, the US size10/Wide option turned out just right. I'm wearing these shoes to work daily (as part of my uniform) - they are exceptionally comfortable: the sole/heel padding is wonderful. There is a significant reduction in fatigue that I feel at the end of the work day. The grip is excellent on glossy tiled/marble/cement floors, without that annoying squeaking noise that some other 'grip' shoes make on smooth surfaces. They're fairly bulking looking, but are lighter than they appear to be. Very nice!
