I purchased this canister set because it had only 4 containers (most have 5) and the description said it was airtight. They are attractive and I do like them. Unfortunately, the window is plastic and causes the container to lose it's airtightness. I poured flour in mine, put on the lid, and a puff of flour escaped out the window sides. I also use one of the containers for brown sugar. And since it is not airtight, the brown sugar gets very hard very quickly. If you are looking for something to keep out pantry moths and other bugs, this is not the set for you. If you don't care about the seal and want something that will look good on your counter, this set is it.

These are modern stylish canisters which need not go inside the cupboards. It looks really nice on my counter top. The silicon rings makes it very well sealed. The plastic window is a great advantage to see what is inside and also to know when to refill. I really love them, and I got a lot of compliments about them. Would recommend to a friend.

The canisters certainly look smart! They should keep food really fresh! But...college engineering without practicality comes to play here. I did not like is when i opened the box and there is a small note explaining the include 2 extra gaskets for the large canisters because customers have complained how hard they can be to open...then at that i see only 1 gasket so they forgot to include the other, doesn't matter. If you just want to keep some food fresh on your counter and only access the contents once every other week is ok but if you need sugar or flour or nuts or cereal or pasta daily or a few times per week forget it! You must pick up the canister and hold firmly and try to put fingers and fingernails in between lid and can and slowly work the lid off. I could fix this design that's easy but not my job so i go back to the fragile ceramics what have an easy heavy lid with gasket and get cookies out every day!

My son clued me in. Short fingernails are necessary. Position nails in crevice between cover and canister body. Keeping nails in crevice slowly rotate canister body while lifting cover with fingers. It's a beautiful and spacious set. Easy to keep clean. Mine came with an extra, looser gasket for the largest canister and an explanation why. Since I'm using the largest canister for flour I've been using the looser gasket during busy baking times.

The lid is extremely hard to remove, they put a note inside to advise you that but I didn't read any reviews stating that. We can't close them all the way or we can't open them. But I guess we know everything is going to be fresh

These look gorgeous in my kitchen! Definitely fingerprint-proof, easy to use and clean, and they keep a tight seal (we keep rice, coffee, sugar, and tea in them). I love the little 'windows' so you can see what's inside without them needing to be completely transparent (which I think looks cluttery).

These canisters are great. Very neat looking and the anti fingerprint coating really is a major plus. The tight seal on the lids are really great. We like that only part and not all of the canister is see through. Great value for the price!

I love my new canister set! It looks great in my kitchen!I was worried the canisters would been thin and cheap looking. Boy was I wrong! Each canister is strong and my flour, sugar ,etc. fits perfectly. The lid seals perfectly and I love the window to see how much flour, etc. is still in the canisters. I looked a long time to choose a set. This one was the perfect choice for me. It arrived in 2 days and was safely packed,so no dents or scratches. Another great thing-- I choose the brush look so no worry about fingerprints.
