Installed easy plug and play. My speeds went up instantly. I don't have gigabit internest so I can't say top end speeds but it can push 1/2 a gig. Solid quality from a trusted brand. Functions as a switch should. Desktop size, sleek black looks fits in with any equipment.

I needed to wire up the house since all the kids are gaming, TVs are running, and everything else is online. I went with the NETGEAR 5-Port Gigabit Ethernet Unmanaged Essentials Switch because Netgear is my favorite, and I’m glad I did. These switches work great—I even ran one out to the garage with a router so I can work out there and hardwired my Wi-Fi device. Connection is solid, setup was simple, and they feel reliable. For the price, these are awesome. Highly recommend if you need a dependable, no-fuss switch for home networking.

WORKS. I did not realize the cables plugged into the front where the lights are. I would perfered it to be like my orginal one, cables plugged into back and lights are in the front. HOWEVER, after using it and re-routing the cables, I actualy find it more convient to plug the cables in, some of them have broken clips, so never wanted to stay in properly. With them in the front, now I can see which cable is plugged in or loose
