Sendan Colors Navy Blue Sushi For Two Set

I had no idea when ordering these they were actually Made in Japan!! For the price and quality? I am so impressed. So happy I ordered them and can support their ethical / ecofriendly domestic ceramic industry. It really is world class.

I was nervous to purchase this based on some of the reviews saying it came broken. I bought this for my boyfriends birthday and it was the perfect gift. Beautiful packaging, authentic "Made in Japan" printed logo on the bottom, and really high quality. We've used this at least 10 times already. It makes the at-home sushi experience so much more special. Highly recommend!

Arrived in great shape: 2 plates and 2 saucers, 4 pieces, in the original set box. This would have made a nice gift presentation, but the bowls were wrapped in plain newspaper, not in a white foam wrap like the larger plates. I've purchased this set in the same box as a 6-piece set in the same box (2 sushi plates, 2 small sauce bowls, 2 small sauce plates), so this 4-piece set appears to omit the 2 small sauce plates. If want the 6-piece set, this isn't it, but otherwise nice.

I have purchase for silent auction.(Most attendance was man) Made basket with local soy sauce. It raised money more than value. This set come with nice box to show the products looks good and good quality inside. Especially chop stick is real chop stick to use.

These are beautiful! Feel very sturdy (not fragile), with rich, deep color, and thick, shiny glaze! We will probably hand wash them (because sushi is not that messy), but I'm pretty sure they will hold up in a dishwasher, although I would not recommend that treatment. Not a fan of the teak chopsticks (which definitely should be hand washed and dried and probably treated periodically with mineral oil), but they are a nice addition if you don't have ceramic or stainless steel chopsticks on hand.

Gave this to my daughters boyfriend who enjoys sushi and he really loved the set. Very attractive dishes and nice presentation.
