I'm a trucker and have been through many units like this. I have aluminum and plastic for different reasons. The aluminum buy once and unless you run it over it won't crack when your mechanic accidentally puts his fat arse on it like my last plastic box just did. Thus a re order. So why bother with the plastics in the first place? 2 reasons. Much lighter and no sharp edges. Setting the alum onto the steering wheel marks it up, accidentally hitting the hard sharp edge into the wheel REALLY bad. Reaching behind or across to drivers seat for the alum loaded with paperwork can tweak ones back as well as they get quite heavy. So i keep the alum for storage and plastic on passenger seat for daily use.This partucular unit is the best plastic one I've personally used. While it doesn't seem any more durable than many of my past plastic cases this one sets apart by having an silky SMOOTH writing surface. Other plastics I've had are kinda pebbly or slightly rougher texture. This surface is just great, like the alum, and firm enough. Also the top clip retainer is low profile and very flat. I'm a lefty and with clip to the right i can lift the clip and still complete a form without puncture and not having to slide the paper out then back in. The storage latch is also very positive snap sounding lock and secure so you know it closed properly and won't spill the contents getting out of the rig and the ensuing LOLs of the warehouseman as the wind disperses your manifests across the yard. Just a great case. Highly recommended.

I bought this for coloring because I wanted a clipboard that had space inside to hold my 72 piece Castle Art colored pencils, I put them in loose so I don't have to deal with digging them out of the box they come in every time and it works perfectly for that.There's no worry about the case coming open, the clip holds good and tight, which was really the only real concern I had before purchasing. The clip that holds the paper is perfect also, there's no wrinkling of the paper where it's been held, but it's also strong enough to hold things in place.Overall, I thought it was a good buy, I don't know how anyone could expect any more at this price point, I'm going to grab another one for the wife for her projects.

Helped when I was having to take papers from work to home to work on later in the day. Large enough to keep my daily items in it for safe keeping (phone, headset, sunglasses) It's great for what I need it for. It is long and I had to buy a new office bag just to carry it around as it did not fit in the office bag I had been using. Never had a problem of it opening on me. Kept paper in place under the clip even in the bag.

held up to a lot of drops. only getting a new one because it fell of truck onto road and got ran over by a car to my surprise it took it well, only the hinges broke the rest was fine. great value for the money

I liked everything! The built-in "handle", the internal storage with two smaller sections for small items, a couple of straps on the inside cover for holding things, and even a pen or pencil "gripper". It also shuts tight and stays shut, and the gripper on the outside holds papers well. too. And it's very light weight while also strong with enough sturdiness to make it easy to write on! And the plastic keeps the inside dry in wet weather, too!

I purchased this for holding score sheets and team ledgers and it performs just fine. It's not water tight, so don't go around getting it wet or throwing it around in the dirt by the dugouts after having a scoring dispute and expect the contents to stay dry and dust free. But if you handle it with care, it'll last you and your papers will be nice and neat.

It’s not something I would like to accidentally sit on. I don’t think it would do well with that. The plastic seems just slightly bendy under pressure. Otherwise, it holds pens and pencils and plenty of various papers quite nicely! Easy to write on, and the handle is great!

I needed a clipboard and a suitable carrier for our tablet for medical records. Saw this on amazon and thought I would give it a go. I am not disappointed. It arrived on time, well packed and is used every day. I have had no issues with this item at all and would highly recommend it. The tablet fits perfectly inside and the clip on the board is sturdy. The case has a strong build so the carry handle can support its contents.

Does what I've required of it at work, keeps my paperwork dry and in one place, can't ask anymore of it really.

Used this product for over a month. Looks more professional when visiting a customer place, can organise all stationary, tape, laser etc. Clip board very handy to note measures etc even in awkward places.

For the money it ideal

Decent quality clipboard, handy that it'll hold all your docs internally for when it's windy or wet.Pretty robust with a good closure clip.
