Just as good as my multiple Lodge cast iron pieces
I bought this pan KNOWING that it is not a Lodge and knowing I would be doing my own seasoning. I actually got it for that purpose, to test my cast iron seasoning skills on. Please note that this pan has a rather rough bottom and is in need of probably ten layers of seasoning before it will be nonstick like my other cast iron favorites. I say it's well worth the eight bucks. :)After using this pan for a long while (maybe 1.5 yrs), I moved my rating up to five stars. It has held up well and is actually MORE non-stick than my most used Lodge cast iron pans. Goes to show you- it's not always about the brand name!
