Great Product. Remove all adhesive from glue without damaging the finishes.
Great Product for removing adhesive. Works fabulous and doesn't damage the finishes.. I spilled a jar of surgical adhesive on my lap and it glued my pants to my thigh. I could barely walk and had to hide from my boss because it was the third time this happened to me in a busy clinic. He had warned me not to let that happen again. I found a bottle of this stuff and went into the ladies room and began the long task of trying to pull my scrubs off of my skin. It was very painful. After about twenty minutes people started knocking on the door because they were suspicious that I glued my pants to my leg again. Then the nightmare began. I heard them outside in the hallway telling the boss that they could smell the Goo from outside. That said it all. They now knew I had spilled glue on myself again. Thank god the Goo worked and by the time I came out of the bathroom with wet scrubs they weren't glued together anymore. However, I did have a noticeable limp and smelled like chemicals for the rest of the day. I was called into the office and written up for "hazardous practices in the work place". Apparently gluing your thigh to your clothes is a violation of some Federal OSHA laws. I of course denied everything as I was always taught by my mother and still work there today. However, they hide the surgical glue from me now and I am not allowed near it. Thank goodness for Goo adhesive removal. It kept me from being fired and I can keep putting food on my table and pay my light bill.

Works Like Magic - Removes Any Sticky Residue Effortlessly!
This Goo Gone adhesive remover is absolutely amazing! The 8 oz bottle is the perfect size and lasts a long time. This product works like magic on sticky residue, stickers, labels, and adhesives. I've used it on everything from price tags to stubborn tape residue and it removes everything effortlessly. The formula is powerful yet safe for most surfaces. It doesn't damage paint, plastic, or finished surfaces. The citrus scent is pleasant compared to harsh chemical removers. A little goes a long way - you don't need much to get excellent results. It works quickly too - most residue wipes away in seconds. I keep this in my cleaning arsenal at all times. Perfect for craft projects, removing old stickers from containers, cleaning up after labels. The bottle design makes it easy to apply precisely. This is an essential household product that everyone should have. Best adhesive remover on the market!

This stuff works so good! Took my inspection sticker adhesive residue right off with ease!
I had an inspection sticker removed from my car at the inspection station and they put a smaller one on the windshield. That left a whole bunch of that nasty sticker goo on the windshield. I was concerned it was so tight against the dashboard I would not be able to get anything in and apply leverage to remove the goo. I decided to try a long Q-tip with a wooden stem to get in there. I moistened the Q-tip end with some of this goo gone and reached it down towards the very narrow gap between the windshield and the dashboard, and just lightly swiped it back and forth. The adhesive came off with ease, like a hot knife through butter. I could not believe it worked so well with a fraction of an ounce of pressure against the windshield due to a lack of leverage. The windshield is now all clean and I'm a goo gone believer!

Good for very THIN layers of adhesive, but you'll still need to scrape. Gets everywhere.
So Goo Gone is the only adhesive remover that I'm familiar with. I've used it to remove the residue of packing tape off furniture and spray-adhesives on my walls. The instructions indicate that for "tougher" areas, the surface area should be covered with the Goo Gone and left for 10-15 minutes. I've soaked a surface for 30+ minutes--twice--to remove some packing tape residue and really only succeeded in making the adhesive wet again. It becomes jelly and still sticks to everything. I spent an additional 40 minutes using a scraping tool (putty knife) to remove the adhesive that refused to come off with a hot wet towel. So does Goo Gone work? Mostly. I'd say the more accurate description of Goo Gone is that it helps make the chore of manually removing tough adhesives from surfaces "slightly easier" than if you tried to do without. I credit Goo Gone for its oily consistency, insofar as I think it helped prevent my putty knife from nicking the wood I was cleansing. The downside? The oily consistency will get EVERYWHERE. It's very runny and will seep into everything--skin, counter top, utensils, clothing. I suggest treating anything you want cleaned on the porch, in the garage, or from the bathtub, so you're not putting every other surface at risk of getting stained. At least it smells citrus-y.

I used this all the time back home in America so I wasn’t too put off by paying more for it here in Germany. We bought a new house and the doors all had little decals stuck on. This helped to take them off and remove all the residue as well with a bit of elbow grease. The smell isn’t overpowering and it’s safe on most surfaces. I’ve never had any problems with it.
