First what is somewhat refreshing is that the main character is kind of a jerk, he does everything his way and pushes around the gods and goddesses that kidnap people and make them fight against evil in other world and not letting them back till they do defeat the evil or die trying.Second some of the character interactions are inorganic, forced, almost incoherent, for example one character falls in love with the main character for no reason other then what seems to be just have some kind of romance element in it.Third the main character should be called paranoid to the point of having a mental disorder.The last point is that I do feel like this series has potential to be entertaining if the author is actually able to pull it off is to be seen

Told from the Goddess' point of view, it's rather unusual for a story of this genre. You don't know what's going on in the hero's mind aside from small bits of information the character himself provides though curt dialogue. The hero is without a doubt the star of the show but the end still leaves you curious as to what really makes him work.I enjoyed reading the volume, as of writing the anime has just started and I thought it was funny enough to read at least the first volume while I wait for more episodes. The idea of an overpowered main character with "Cheat" level abilities is a very worn path and each story has to add something to stand out among their peers. As the title suggests, this hero is cautious to an absurd degree, As someone who grinds in various RPGs until I can sail through the final boss I'll admit it speaks to me just a little. Every hero needs a journey and change though. While the hero might have changed with the events of this novel just a tiny bit, it could easily just be the Goddess finally seeing what was always there.As someone who reads light novels almost exclusively compared to other literature I give this a high recommendation. While overpowered main characters make for less than appealing stakes sometimes, there is a certain charm to the main character as the perpetual straight man to all the absurdity this world has to offer. I look forward to reading, and watching, his continuing adventures.

There are times where people do serious things and it makes sense. There are also times where people do serious things to silly levels and it’s funny. Then there are times where people go above and beyond silly levels... and it’s hilarious. This one takes it a step further, where it just falls flat.For me this one falls flat. It’s just not funny. Except in that not-ha-ha kind of funny, where the hero is sooooo cautious about avoiding problems, he’s actively courting creating problems, and is somehow oblivious to this.I’ll be honest, I didn’t finish reading the work. I couldn’t. The Hero was just that unlikeable for me. It read to me as if the hero is a force of nature that will always work toward the protagonist’s goals, but in undesired ways that deliberately annoy the protagonist... and I have trouble reading works where characters are clearly plot elements, not people. It’s possible this may serve as an example of how too much caution is a bad thing, if so it’s a wonderful example but it’s not an example I care for.

This was a good read. Their isn't much to say as far as the story goes because the synapsis pretty much covers it. We have a hero summoned by a goddess to save a world. The hero not having a choice in the matter spends his time training in order to fight the battles to come. Due to his innate talent and skills his ability to "level up" is done in leaps and bounds. The greatest thing about this story is the comedic relief as the MC gives being overly cautious a whole new meaning. For those looking for a good read and want a little light hearted fun pick up this book and give it a whirl.

I generally like transported to another world novels, and I also like the protagonist to be overpowered so this fit the bill for me. What I didn't really care for was how the goddess always downplayed the hero's cautiousness as ridiculous then almost immediately the hero would be proven to be correct. It becomes a repetitive joke that is played out by the end. I'll definitely still keep reading the series but I probably won't revisit previous books after reading.

While there isn't a lot of world building like in other light novels, it compensates by giving life and personalite to the characters, it's not a deep story, but is a funny one

The characters in this book are great. It's a very funny book with a lot of coincidences in it. This works for this book though because the heroin in a goddess so, of course fate is on her side.

I am giving this the full 5 stars, because it's short to the point storytelling hides the nuance of the main character. Every word has some meaning, and the pragmatism of the main character could hone in on a descriptive word and the next page might reference it, or maybe 30 pages later. Just a fun story to plow through.

Not a particularly complicated plot and the humour is pretty simple, but an enjoyable read all the same, and a nice change from the standard isekai.

Meine Rezension bezieht sich auf den Inhalt von Band 1 und Band 2, welche den Gaeabrande Handlungsbogen wieder spiegeln. Ich finde es ist nur fair die Geschichte im Gesamten zu bewerten, unabhängig davon wie der Verlag und Herausgeber die Kapitel trennt.Zum heutigen Stand (23.11.2019) sind zwei Bände der Serie veröffentlicht worden. Binnen dieser zwei Bände wird der Gaeabrande Handlungsbogen komplettiert und beendet. Zum Ende hin gibt es ein "Pseudo-Cliffhanger".Soll heißen, Interessierte LeserInnen können bereits nach zwei Bänden aufhören weiter zu lesen, ohne dass ein harter Cliffhanger einen bitteren Nachgeschmack hinterlässt. Gleichzeitig macht das Ende Lust auf mehr.HandlungDie Handlung beginnt sehr Isekai (siehe Wikipedia "Isekai") -typisch mit einem Weltenwanderer der beschworen wird um die (Parallel-)Welt Gaeabrande vor einem Dämonenkönig zu bewahren. Die Erzählperspektive erfolgt komplett aus Sicht der Göttin Ristarte, welche den Helden Seiya auserkoren hat um die Welt Gaeabrande zu retten. Anders als es klingt hat die Göttin jedoch keine "Omni"-Position inne. Es ist daher nicht auktorial. Die Erzählperspektive ist vielmehr wie aus der Sicht einer Abenteurerin die den Helden begleitet.Die Geschichte beginnt von Anfang an mit ungewöhnlichen Twists, welche jedoch erst zum Ende der Gaeabrande Geschichte aufgelöst werden. Hauptaugenmerk bekommt die Persönlichkeit des Helden, welcher mehr als nur paranoid wirkt und übermäßige Vorsicht walten lässt. Das obwohl gleich zu Beginn klar wird dass er außergewöhnlich stark ist - selbst für einen Isekai Helden (welche durch die Weltenwanderung typischerweise mit besonderen übermenschlichen Gaben gesegnet werden).Paar Eckpunkte zur ReiheDie Übersetzung ist sehr gut. Insgesamt zeichnet sich bislang aus, dass die Reihe sehr leicht zu genießen ist. Ich hatte keinerlei Probleme, mit Blick auf Deutsch als meine Muttersprache. Hinzu kommt die Möglichkeit via kindle Wörter direkt im Textfluss mit dem kostenlosen Wörterbuch, Wikipedia und Übersetzer (bei kindle inklusive auf allen Plattformen) nachzuschlagen.Etwas ärgerlich finde ich die Preisgestaltung, welche jedoch von diesem Herausgeber typisch ist. Das hat jedoch keinen Einfluss auf meine Bewertung des Inhalts.Es handelt sich hierbei um eine Komödie. Spannung, Action, Romantik, Überraschungen, etc. fehlen fast komplett. Die Geschichte an sich war für mich vorhersehbar. Was vielleicht für die meisten LeserInnen negativ klingt, ist an dieser Stelle als Lob gemeint. Der Autor hat es geschafft den roten Faden und die Atmosphäre konsequent zu halten, was auch die Persönlichkeit des Helden gut reflektiert.Der Spaß und Witz an der Geschichte entspringt gänzlich der Beschreibungen der Reaktionen des Umfelds des Helden wieder. Und auch aus der Tatsache dass der "nicht vollendete Geschichte"-Effekt immer wieder rauskristallisiert wird. Letzteres ist besonders typisch Isekai und es bringt Kenner definitiv zum Schmunzeln.(Gemeint sind hier die besonders absurden Situationen, wo Hauptprotagonisten sich aus einer scheinbar ausweglosen Situationen retten, weil die ganz im Nebenbei "zig" von Bänden/Kapiteln vorher ein "Ass im Ärmel" bereit gelegt hatten was aber nirgendwo erwähnt wird und es dadurch wirkt als wäre die Lösung an den "Haaren herbei gezogen"...)FazitIch habe mit "The Hero Is Overpowered but Overly Cautious" exakt das an Unterhaltung erhalten was ich auch erwartet habe. Ich genoss die Geschichte sehr weil ich mich mit dem Helden identifizieren konnte. Ich gehöre zu der Sorte von VideospielerInnen die mehr Zeit mit der Vorbereitung einer Mission als mit der eigentlichen Spielemission selbst verbringen.Oder wie es der Autor gut beschrieben hat: es gibt Leute die "grinden" (siehe Wikipedia "grinding (video gaming)") erstmal lange bis sie sicher sind, dass sie auch Gewinnen - und es gibt Leute die stürzen sich gleich ins Abenteuer und lassen sich überraschen. Me preocupaba que hubiese tantas reseñas negativas catalogando a la obra de "ser chistes quemados y clichés", estoy acostumbrado a ver en Amazon a novelas con notas muy buenas y ver esta más baja de lo normal me asustó.Nada que temer, me lo he leído de golpe y lo he hecho encantado.Es genial.

The book itself is refreshing like the hero has his own mindset, sure everyone says he's a jerk but honestly it's better than being a pushover in most novels or being one of those who pity everyone around though honestly he does it in a roundabout way.I hope the author adds more details in next book, the read is still kind of good and extremely interesting.

The Hero is a jerk, the Goddess' a clingy chatterbox and the multiverse concept a bad joke... Nothing of this would be a deal breaker itself except for the insane actions and ridiculous decisions of the MC.
