AMAZING SOUND FROM THESE SPKRS!
The media could not be loaded. Super fast shipping , best speakers I have heard in this price range. I have heard speakers that cost twice as much and don't sound as good. Also still just breaking them in. Can't go wrong on these get a pair.I have had these speakers now for about six months and just in the past month learned that the tweeters are not playing. I have contacted Amazon and music direct to only be told to do this of that. Now today I finely got told to contact mofi as there the distributors. Spoke with a nice lady there and she is going to get me help. Will update once they responed..You all need to know this is a amazing company! They replaced the tweeters super fast with very fast shipping. Even after I owned these speakers for six months. They could have made excuses to why not to replace them. But no talked to Linda on the phone and she got me to the right people. Then with in two days they were sending out new tweeters. I will receive them today. Couldn't be more happy. If you want great speakers with great sound and a company that backs what they say look no more and pick up a set before there gone.

Sound Meh...
I purchased these as my first experience with a Wharfedale product and taking advantage of the reduced price. In short, sound is "meh." Ok bass for size. Mods and highs are receding and muted. Sound not really improved with even my “brighter” amps, eq changes and different listening rooms. These speakers have been reviewed more favorably by others so your mileage may vary.

sound good
Not a audiophile myself but I can clearly notice the difference between these and my old Klipschs, detailed and clear sound, well built however no too heavy compare with the Synergy F3 and aesthetically pleasing. For the price was an easy decision, Im glad that I bought them

Very bad sound and bad company to buy from
The speakers sound bad. Lifeless. Decent with piano music but with other types of music there is very bad bass and highs. It is like someone tuned the speaker to compensate for people turning up the treble and bass to male it flat when you do a smileyface EQ. The company won't take them back and has been very hard to deal with.

Truly a great set of speakers
I was hesitant to buy these at first cause I already had a good set of speakers Vienna Acoustics Bach but for the price decided to buy them very glad I did but at first these sounded so so I was tempted to send them back but as they got broken in they came to life. I've been through many speakers and I can honestly say these are one of the best speakers I've owned the cabinets are well built thick and solid and the sound of these are very warm and not bright sounding no need for a subwoofer with these as the bass is very tight and punchy and the highs and midrange I think are spot on they bring out best in female vocals clear and very detailed .I'm using these with a McIntosh mc152 power amp and i think this brings out the best of these speakers at 4 ohms the more watts the better these are going to sound but all in all I'm very impressed with these so much so these are most likely the last speakers I'll buy and for the price they can't be beat even for the retail price they would be worth it

Great speakers with some tweaks
I've owned the 240s for a month now, and they sound very dynamic and musical after some tweaks. The bass is all there, so a sub is not needed; the high frequency extension is not spectacular but can be helped:1) Ditch the bus plates on the terminals and bi-wire with banana plugs. It's not so much the bi-wire benefit as the difficulty of screwing down the plates.2) Use an audiophile extension cord for your system with OFC copper and 10 or 12 AWG wire. This will give you a bump in high frequency extension. This especially benefits the DAC in your system, if you have one.3) Due to their response curve, these speakers will exaggerate kick drum on less-than-stellar recordings. Short of adding an inline parametric EQ to correct this, just avoid those recordings.Overall, these speakers are a bargain, considering their musicality, fit and finish.

For the price cannot be beat
I bought these a few years ago in the spur of the moment seeing the price, have seen sites sell these for has much as $2200 a pair with many around$1200.00, they replace a pair of Klipsch 600m's and the sound comparison there is none. These just out class the Klipsch completely on every level, you can hear the difference immediately, these much brighter, and midrange is on another level, voices are clear and crisp where has with the 600m's they are muffled almost buried. The cabinets are well built, and they weigh around 60 lbs. a piece which gives you a clue.Anyways I am very happy with them, especially for the price of $600.00 for having been discontinued.I did buy these from another site but just thought I would throw in my 2 cents here.
