Farberware Classic Stainless Steel Stack and Steam Saucepot and Steamer Insert, 3 Quart

i love Farberware pot so much. its great. but... the biggest problem with anything that comes from china is that there's always a problem with the quality. The quality issue with this pan is, with all stainless products that come from china. the inside of the pot is not polished. Same problem with my made in china fast boil pots. Almost everthing from china has problems. US gov knows about it the problems too. if you run your hand around the inside youll see roughness. So if you use his for hot fast saute then food will get in the crevices. This is not a Farberware issue, this is a China Issue. My message to Farberware is that you should ditch your Chinese partner. Otherwise this is a very good pot, and its an honor to have a Farberware product.

This is by far my favorite saucepan. I’ve had a set for a decade, and I really needed to have an extra 2qt as my family grew. Finally found this one that is exactly like the one I have, and it’s just as great. The quality of these is incredible, and it will last a few lifetimes.

1. The size of the pan, 2. the deep sides, and 3. that I can put it in my dishwasher pleases me to no end. I have made at least four meals in this pan and it's my new favorite pan. The heavy lid is a quality addition. Why buy an expensive pan when you can have this one at such a good price? It's perfect for fry ups, soups, just anything. It feels sturdy like it will last a long time.

5 months later and used maybe once a week and the handle is loose so I have to tighten it. Also, the previous lid from the same size pot does not fit. Very annoying. Surprised that Farberware has decided to lower their quality.

Glass lid has vent hole so when steaming water boils away. Also, glass lid harder to wash/clean due to lip around edge.

I make a lot of vegetable dishes and sauces and this is a great pan for it. It's sturdy and has screw on handles. The taller sides are rounded so that makes for easy stirring. It's very easy to clean as long as it's used the right way. Remember, if you purchase this and are new to stainless, take the time to learn to understand how stainless cooks. Do not use high heat! Medium will be like high, and you may need to lower it even once its heated up. If used properly, this is an awesome tool for the kitchen! Very pleased!

I purchased a complete set of Farberware pans MANY years ago. They have been fabulous to cook with, and I needed another frying pan. Of course, I opted for a Farberware product. This new, four-quart fryer is just great. I highly recommend it and any Farberware product, given my experience with these pans.

You can cook an entire meal in the pan at one time and probably still have room left over!The stainless steel is not as thick as previous generations of Farberware pans, but it is still not flimsy. It cleans up nice after cooking.
