I can't believe how nice this is. I went through a lot of listings for other brands and was very worried about the amount of plastic in the so called "high end" models. I went with this model because it was all stainless steel (and had the best reviews). The Ivation dehydrator (I got the 10 tray model) looks and feels like it was twice the cost. Everything about it is so well made, I was very impressed when taking it out of the box and it looks so good I don't mind leaving it out all the time (which is good because it is big!). There are a few features that I would have considered paying more for, if they were available as options. Being able to accurately set the temperature instead of the "9 degree" increments would have been nice. I'm new to dehydrating and if the recipe says 135 degrees, I would feel better setting it to the exact temperature instead of deciding to go higher or lower. I wish you could turn the beeping sound down or off, as it is a little loud. I would also have liked to purchase more of the fruit leather trays, as it only came with one. I haven't seen that as an option, though. But those aren't deal breakers for me. I would much rather have a high quality product at a very reasonable price and trade off a few features that aren't very important to me anyways. One other important feature for me besides the materials used to construct it is the size.And this thing is huge! I plan on gardening this year and I really want to dehydrate a lot of the harvest. Right now I have about 6 pounds of apples drying (sliced at about 3/16 of an inch). This would have taken days to get through the oven or a small dehydrator. I don't have an oven thermometer so I can't check the accuracy of the temperature setting. I am curious and will try to remember to update when I get one and check it out. Overall, really thrilled with this purchase!

There is plenty of room to dehydrate a lot of veggies. Quite easy cleaning. I would buy another for twice the processing. I am adding to this review. This was purchased then delivered on nov 23rd by Jan 28th it no longer functions. I had til the 31st to return it. I processed the return. I have 30 days to send it back. New one on the way. If the same thing happens I will be back to report. I was very pleased with this unit. I searched a long time to find the right one for my needs. I thought this was it. Easy use buttons in the front of the unit. Large capacity clear front glass door. Clean look. Fit in the location I had for it. I sure hope I don’t regret getting a refund. I am a gardener and have many uses for this unit. If it DIES again my review will not be to ever buy this unit. Time will tell. We control weather they make money. Let’s just keep that in mind. My next stop will be back to the company if it does last more than a few months.Update on second unit. It just died again. I received the replacement in late March. Used this 2nd unit a few times. I just had it running and it has died for the second time. I will be contacting the company. This is just ridiculous that these unit can last 6 months.

This came as expected. I did order extra silicone mats to go on all the trays. I got ones that you cut to fit, but you could just as easily order the 14" x 14" and save some time. I reckon that for the silicone mats to be slightly smaller than the wire tray would allow for better air flow. My only complaint; this thing puts out the heat! I will have to relocate it to the garage, as it heats up the whole back side of the house when it is running. If I was being crafty, it might be cool to build an exhaust port out the window so it could vent the hot air outside.

Edit 11/20/23So far for the past few years this dehydrator has kept up with our demands, we do a lot of kale chips, fruit leathers, fruit slices, jerky. Also do a lot of odd and end stuff like spices and so forth. I ended up marking the trays so I know which direction to put them in.I will definitely buy this exact product again if it were to break any time soon(Original review)The Ivation 10 tray dehydrator has been a delight to use. Holds tons of food, which makes the prep work well worth it. I have not had to move or rotate trays. So far I have done fruits, veggies, and jerky, All of which turned out amazing. This machine has ran just about every day since it showed up. We will be using it for a bit as we have a bunch of blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries on our property, Not including everything else. I'll try to update this fall on the endurance of the dehydrator, but as it stands we love this machine and am so happy we spend a few extra bucksMy biggest issue with this machine is the trays are not square. Go ahead laugh,right. The trays are so close that I can't tell what direction that they easy fit into the machine, it's not a problem but it does get a annoying at times when loading the machine

I spent over 3 hours researching/searching for the perfect dehydrator-well, I found it. Ivation, large capacity, easy to program, simple to clean, well made and very durable. Attention jerky lovers: The temperature goes as high as 167* which makes it beyond safe when dehydrating meats and 10 racks will dry a lot of jerky!! You set the temp/time to wherever you desire. Comes with a drip tray on the bottom. I can load this unit up and dry a lot of food items. *I bought inexpensive silicone sheets to cover the racks and then pour pureed fruits to make fruit leather-both fast and amazing! This unit is large and it is heavy, sturdy and solid.I also like the glass window to peek inside. Perfect for someone who really uses a dehydrator to it's fullest extent. This IS a workhorse. Again, very easy to clean. I have only had it for a month, yet I have used it quite a lot and I highly recommend this if you do not want a small low power plastic unit. Speaking of power-this machine has 1000w. Stop agonizing (like I did) over which unit to buy-this is the dream machine: Ivation. P.S. Does not come with a recipe book, no big deal as recipes are all over the internet. You tube is amazing.

Speed does what it suppose to do, noise is not bad. Dryness in the time it takes. Temperature control easy to use and capacity hold alot
