Good Tool but no English instructions
I attempted to use shear to cut aluminum sheeting around 2 feet long. I could cut around 4 inches until shear stalled. I guess aluminum was thicker than machine was capable of cutting. I finally used my Makita 7 1/4 inch worm drive saw with a wood blade that I flipped the blade over to make desired cut.I would recommend that seller provide information on where to get English instructions from and also where I may register tool for warranty.

Very good cutting tool for heavy gauge material
Makes quick work when cutting heavy gauge steel and aluminum. I use a reostat to slow it down to make it easier to control. A variable speed trigger on the tool would be helpful.

Makita matters
The shear arrived a couple of days ago.It is 100 volts not 120 volts listed by Amazon. Moreover, stated on FAQ that "it is 120 volts intended for the American market".There is an English version PDF of the manual on the Amazon site.Be sure to use the proper gauge settings. My research informs me that the voltage discrepancy could result in the shear running hot and/or faster than designed.A voltage converter is an option for those concerned, however, I am not experiencing either. It may come down to frequency of use. Welders are rated for "duty cycle".I am not giving the shear continuous use.The shear is not for precision cuts and is difficult to maneuver.I bought this shear for roughing out shapes from large sheets of 14ga carbon and stainless steel before band sawing or plasma cutting.Cutting curves are easiest when cutting "right". Unfortunately, I am right-handed, so this is awkward for someone accustomed to cutting curves left during fifty years of practice.Think green handled aviator shears or "cuts right" and red "cuts left".The shear is very well made and rugged. It will be valued by me on an "as needed" basis and as a welcome component in support of my physical plant tooling.Just know what you are in for before taking this shear for a ride.

Superb
Amazing tool! Cut the stainless sheet material almost perfectly. Powerful motor and precise cutting action. Takes some muscle, but best option I have found.
