Outdated and Not a Lot of Good Photos
My 19 month old daughter loves Jupiter - so were mostly in it for the photos. It's my fault for not checking when this book came out. I think you'll see much better stuff in the next few years now that Juno has taken all those amazing pictures. This book has some interesting facts, but it's short and very dry for a young reader (I'd assume - I'm a dad and she's 19 months old).

Great Jupiter book for kids. ONLY
Some of Jupiter's zones are discussed as well as the planets statistics compared to Earth. There are nice pictures of the 4 Galilean moons. The Red spot a gigantic storm twice the size of earth is shown from the Galileo spacecraft 1996. Some of Jupiter's minor moons and diffuse rings are mentioned.Destination Jupiter is a great kids book 5-8 years old for kids to increase their reading pleasure or a great book for parents to read and show the pictures to the little ones. Plus the kids will learn a little about Jupiter too.

Great book!
Great book for my kindergartner who loves astronomy. Got one for her to donate to her class library and one for her to keep. She loves reading this book. Her classmates like it, too.

Great
We have this whole series, beautiful pictures, and very informative. A good grow with me book, also good for reports, and projects.

Currently out of date (eg 9 planets!)
We love his books but this one is currently way out of date (2000 edition) eg it says there are 9 planets.

A good book
This was a pretty good book. Easy to read and had really good pictures of the planet. A good book for kids since it isn't very long so it should keep their interest.
