2019 release. Lost Girls is another brilliant full-length in Khan's incredible, acclaimed discography, mixing sounds she's always loved - heavy bass lines, synth arpeggios, Iranian pop beats, cascading choruses - with some of her finest songwriting to date. It's an album full of romance, a homage to Los Angeles where the album was recorded, to being a kid in the 80's, to films that touched and changed her life. Spanning 10 tracks, Lost Girls sees Khan dreaming up her own fully formed parallel universe, creating an off-kilter coming of age film in which gangs of marauding female bikers roam our streets, teenagers make out on car hoods and a powerful female energy casts spells and leave clues for us to follow. The women of Lost Girls are parallel to one of Khan's previous female protagonists, the tough, darkness-driven Pearl, from her 2009 lauded album Two Suns. Within the women of Lost Girls and the character Nikki Pink, Khan unfolds elements of herself; within these songs, we do the same.

The hunger inside
I have no idea why the press stopped paying attention to Bat for Lashes, because Natasha Khan hasn't lost a step since "Two Suns" became a phenomenon. Lost Girls is another very solid album, full of buzzy synths that carry Natasha's tender voice without drowning her out. It lacks a true showstopper like "Laura" or "Daniel", but otherwise, I find it hard to fault the tracks that are here.

Something about these songs.
I must've listened to the song "Kids in the Dark" 200 times, the hook, the tone, its like when a soundtrack hits you at a key point in a great movie and your heart swells and you are completely transported. In this case, what should never be written off as mere 80's worship, Natasha and company's nod to classic 80's vampire movie Lost Boys faithfully continues what artist like Kate Bush and other second-wave art rock legends started. Other than Desert Man, the other songs won't stand out so much as contribute to the overall haunting vibe, which feels entirely authentic because Natasha has the voice of an angel. There's nothing extraordinary about this pressing, it sounds fine, the packaging is fine, thought it could be better but it was priced right.

Lost Girls is an instant classic and easily my favorite Bat for Lashes album
I don't know how it is possible that Bat for Lashes can top their previous albums, but they've just done it in a big way. This album sounds like a 'best of' with each song just getting better as you go through it. The 80's feel is perfectly executed with clean synths, top notch percussion and, of course, Natasha's pristine vocals. The album is pure class. Atmospheric as well as upbeat, the album really has no low points. It's very impressive that she can continue to produce instantly catchy songs that I never get tired of listening to. She deserves to be much more famous, but I guess in this age of repulsive mainstream pop stars, it's better that she isn't.

different and lovely
While I really like this cd, it's a big departure from the other Bat for Lashes albums I've long loved (Fur and Gold and Two Suns). I'm still really getting into Lost Girls and enjoy it more now than I did one month ago when I first received it. Natasha Khan is brilliant and I'd probably listen to an entire album of just her singing along with the radio, so...

Supernatural Sonic Experience
Five stars ainโt enough!! Bat For Lashes is a musical genius. You can hear her growth from album to album and Lost Girls does not disappoint. The narrative she builds is very clear and it carries you from Kids In The Dark to Mountains. The last two songs are especially beautiful.Iโm not sure if you will ever see this Natasha Khan, but if you do, โThank you for all that you do. Keep creating beautyโ

Good follow up to "The Bride"
This album is my cup of tea. I loved the Mercury nominated "The Bride".This is for me nearly as good as that album. So for me well worth buying of Amazon.

Another great album
Once again Natasha has produced a wonderful and very different album. I love he 80's feel to it. I was around in the 80's and hated the use of digital delay and reverb - but I love it on this, very nostalgic. Together with the typically thoughtful and graceful lyrics, a great album which is a constant play at the moment

A perfect album 10/10
If you like epic moody synths, oceans of reverb, and vampires, then definitely check this out. Can't stop listening to it. Every song is brilliant. Excellent songwriting throughout that is impeccably performed and produced.

Natashas vocals are incredible. Set against an 80s back drop. Easily her greatest album yet!
