Great size and useful sponge
These are great sponges. They are easy to hold and are great for my pottery cleanup needs. The sponge was a little stiff at first, but they broke in after two uses and are soft and very absorbent.

Nice Sponges - Large Too!
These are really great sponges. I'm not sure of all the things that can be done with them, but I suspect the answer is "many." I need them primarily to work on some light construction, specifically, refining mud and knock-down on sheet-rock walls. They work well for that. Since the package contains so many sponges, its only a matter of time before I expand my usage into cleaning things, soaking up water, etc. I looked at many different sponges before getting these, and I looked at sponges from other retailers as well. These seemed to be the best combination of size, quality, and price.

Simply great sponges
I never thought I’d be reviewing sponges but yesterday I used one of these bad boys to clean a very dirty bathtub that I dreaded tackling. After letting the cleaning spray soak for a few minutes I went to work, and these jumbo sponges made short work of it. The rubbery texture grabbed hold of the grimy goo, sweeping the porcelain clean in big bold strokes. They rinsed clean quickly, their sturdy structure intact. These are what sponges should be. No flaking or shriveling like those “magic” white ones. Truly spongy, not stiff like those little ones that come in assorted colors. These are built to do the job, and to last through several tough jobs.

Clean and New!!
Super size! Sturdy for cleaning!! Great for tile work and grout repairs! After you apply grout, dampen the sponge and wipe off the excess. Holds as much or little water or cleaning solution as you need. Won't scratch tiles. So thick you can do a lot of work then rinse and reuse the sponge. I strongly recommend this product!!

Not just for grout anymore.... these are TOUGH, TOUGH, fairly dense, yet soft to the hand sponges
Compared to most cellulose sponges they have much smaller pores and are not quite as asorbent. BUT these are TOUGH, TOUGH, fairly dense, yet soft to the hand sponges. They are marketed as "grout" sponges. However............. If the makers decided to make some cut into smaller sizes, and sold them as kitchen sponges, every one making and selling cellulose kitchen sponges would go out of business. I'd bet these would make GREAT sponge mops too, when cut into that shape. I'd bought these when, about 6 months ago, I'd been frustrated while looking for a few CHEAP cellulose kitchen sponges without much success. I didnt want a lifetime supply and I was ****** at what a small package of sponges was selling for on Amazon. OK, I'm cheap, and yes, they'd be cheaper per unit if I bought a CASE of sponges, but who does that if they aren't working in a sponge-devouring business? Our old cellulose sponges never seemed to last more than a month or 2 at most before starting to come apart, even though they were typically not used every single day. Also they would dry out and get hard and then not be immediately absorbant. I'd wanted just plain old, NON-scrubbing layered, NON mesh-enclosed, NON-cute-shaped, NOT exotically-scented sponges-just the type that used to be available nearly everywhere. So, when these turned up in a search, I'd checked their dimensions and figured that if I was VERY careful, I could slice 6, mostly all standard sized kitchen sponges out of just one of these, by first slicing the sponge into 2 layers, and if I COULD do that, Id have 18 (somewhat unevenly shaped) , and IF they lasted anywhwere near the same amount of time the old ones did, that would last a year or more before I'd have to look for sponges again. So, when they came, I cut the first one of the 3 pack of sponges in sixths. The original sponge I'd put in the kitchen (1/6th of the whole) is still in the kitchen-with no signs of deterioration. 3 cellulose sponges have already disintegrated in the same period in the same use. I've worked this single sponge harder than I've used cellulose sponges in the past, mostly to see how well it would hold up, and whatever its made of-it WORKS. I put one in each of the bathrooms and those too are virtually indistinguishable from the unused ones. (My wife wasn't/isn't as enthusistic about this project as I-not the first time, involving one of my projects.) Ed. After a year and a half, not a single one of cut down sponges has worn out, when used at a sink-they just won't die!

the BEST sponge you are searching for!
large, soft, solid, holds a lot of suds and water! I got these for dishes, BUT... I have cut it in 2 with a serrated knife then in half. you can get atleast 4 hand size sponges out of one and 8 if you like your sponge smaller. These are excellent sponges and an excellent buy! highly recommend, soft not scratchy and I like to set my soap in the tub on them to save gooey mess and keep soap drier. see pics what I have done!

I realize the price went up, I bought them (6) for 11 bucks a few months ago. I think it was a good deal then, not so sure now. But it's a good sponge for sure, depending on what you want to do with it. I had a problem with my fridge for some time, there was ( a lot of) water accumulating at the bottom under the crisper/fruit drawer, maybe a 1/4 or 1/3 gallon over a few weeks. While trying to fix the problem permanently, I was also looking for a way to get rid of that water efficiently, without making a huge mess on the floor. That's why I ordered these sponges. I was really not sure when I received it, it seemed like it couldn't absorb or hold any water! Weird for a sponge, I thought. I'm happy I kept using them. So you have to know that it takes some time for the sponge to get its full absorption power. First soak it in water many times, leave it under water, wring it, soak it again, etc. Then you'll see it becomes indeed an highly absorbent sponge and it holds quite a lot of water. It's XL for sure, they are HUGE. What was taking me 15 minutes with a normal dish towel (and making a huge mess) is now taking me 2 minutes. I will also use it to wash my motorcycle in the summer, and for other cleaning jobs. I recommend.
