GE JX7230SFSS 30" Stainless Steel Deluxe Built-In Trim Kit

Never liked how my old microwave looked unfinished set into a cabinet in my kitchen. So for my remodel, I wanted a built-in microwave but didn't want to shell out the dollars for a built in model. Plus I don't know about everyone else but in our house we burn through a microwave about every 2-3 years so didn't want the expense of replacing a built-in microwave that often. Found this GE model that has a trim kit that achieves that built-in look but without actually building it in. Granted, the trim kit cost almost as much as the microwave but far less than other built-in models. Hopefully GE will continue the microwave so I can easily swap out the micro in the future and continue to use the trim kit. Looks awesome.

Product is a requirement to make your microwave a in-cabinet microwave. Part is sturdy plastic with a stainless steel outer cover. Easy to install. I'm not giving it 5 stars because of the price but to be honest this is the standard trim piece price. I've checked everywhere to include GE.

I really like the total polished look.But it's not completely rectangular shape, it has an arc shape at the top.. So, the shape of the cabinet needed to be adjusted.

I have yet to install the trim but from what I can tell it meet my expectations.

Directions/or I should say lack of directions made this a very long installation with calls to customer service.

new frame came with marks on it that won't wash off.

First of all, it's very light and plastic like..does NOT feel like stainless steel. It's feels like plastic with a stainless finish. All for a mere $220+. Looks ok, but GE microwave is only about $100 more!

Looks great, fits perfect installation could have been a little easier. All in all, worth the money for the new look.
