an employee of my husband who is a general contractor, suddenly suffered a stroke - right hemiplegia (paralyzed right side) severe spascity and had difficulty providing Range of motion to his arm because of pain, severe restriction of movement and going into a flexed positioning because of the spascity. Baclofen made him very drowsy and nauseated- used this splint along with frequent icing and weight bearing activities on that extremity and were able to turn his severe flexed spastic arm into obtaining full ROM and progressing now with strengthening. I am a PT 45 yrs. experience with a clinical doctorate = board certified in gerontology and worked well, but in my situation.

This product will not inflate, it doesn’t work because you cannot blow it upWith the straw they provide

This works. The straw to blow air in it often falls off when I am deflating it. I have trouble extending my arm post surgery and I used this until I got a professional brace that does this a little better. I was happy to have something in the meantime though.

I started using this as an addition to my therapy following a broken elbow. It has helped straighten my arm without my having to assist. I use it when I read.
