A great dimmer with many options
The best part about this dimmer is that it can switch between leading edge (traditional style dimmers) and trailing edge/reverse phase which is great for dimmable LED and CFL bulbs. Essentially the trailing edge dimmer helps lower-quality or finicky dimmable LED bulbs work more smoothly and with no or reduced buzz. In my testing, a more expensive dimmer paired with cheap dimmable bulbs makes them work better. A high quality dimmable bulb might work fine on a cheap dimmer, but pair this dimmer with high quality bulbs and it's a winning combination for smooth, flicker-free dimming over a wide range of light output. This dimmer works with or without a neutral and defaults to trailing edge when a neutral is connected automatically. It's great this can also work as a more basic leading edge dimmer when a neutral is not available at the switch box. The small dimming up and down buttons on the side allow you to use a single press for one small dimming "step" or a long press to quickly increase or reduce the light level. There are also shortcuts to jump to the lowest and highest settings. Finally it allows you to customize the low-end dimming range if your bulbs go out before the dimmer has reached it's lowest setting but I haven't need to use it with any of my bulbs.

The Best LED Dimmers!
This is an honest review of the Lutron Maestro LED Dimmer switch that I have purchased and installed in multiple locations throughout my home. Pros: These LED dimmers are an excellent option for dimming overly bright LED lights, which is why I have used them all throughout my house, including in the kitchen, bar, bathrooms, office, hallways, and so on. They are also very easy to install. My favorite feature is the functionality with the saved dimmer settings that keeps the light in my rooms soothing instead of overly bright. Opportunities: Personally, I think these switches are great as is, though they do sometimes confuse guests. Overall: If you’re sensitive to bright lights or you simply want to upgrade your switches, these LED dimmers are a great option.

A few months later and everything is working great. Which leads me to my real point
As far as the product goes, it works totally as advertised. It was a breeze to install. I just cut the power to the area, unscrewed the wall plate, unscrewed the prior switch, unscrewed the screws connecting the wiring, refit the wiring around the screws on the dimmer switch and put everything back. Five minutes per switch and done. A few months later and everything is working great. Which leads me to my real point. Dimmer switches are AWESOME! I have a new construction home that has recessed LED lighting throughout and it is BRIGHT. So bright, in fact, that we never turned them on unless we were looking for something that our infant lost or if we were taking interior pictures. We had lamps for regular use. It was crazy bright. Enter these dimmer switches and now my home is SEXY. The little button to the right of the main switch toggles through about 10-12 different shades of light ranging from as bright as original to off. there is a nice little setting before off that is very dim and perfect for if you are watching a movie or napping but don't want pitch black. Another great feature is when you go from off to on and vice-versa, the light fades in/out. Its a nice touch that multiple people have commented on. Also, the light automatically goes to your last dim level when you turn the lights back on and there is a little LED indicator to let you know what level you are. If you don't have dimmers installed in your house, I would recommend it. they are a great, inexpensive way to make your house more enjoyable, cooler, more attractive. Since I installed the first one in the living room I have bought three more for the bedroom, basement and kitchen. Soon I will have them in most of the other rooms in the house.

Works great
I had these Lutron Maestro switches in my house for over 20 years. One recently wasn't working quite right, so I bought this replacement. The switches now support LED lights, which is great since I have a combination of newer LEDs and some older PAR20 bulbs. Installation was very simple. The older Lutrons had two black wires that came out of the bottom of the switch, but these newer models require wrapping the wires to the switch like a traditional light switch. Not a big deal, but I liked when the wires were pre-installed. My various types of bulbs are all now turning off completely and dimming as they should!

Reliable and attractive.
Had to replace a bunch of dimmers to accommodate the new style of bulbs, and I always choose this brand. Only had one go bad in 20+ years. These work with LEDs etc. Will new technologies eventually make them obsolete? Who knows??

great dimmer
I did a cosmetic remodel of the kitchen and living room (painted wall and replaced outlets and switches). I wanted modular switches with a dimmer function as the toggle switch dimmers often got the dimmer setting bumped/changed when the switch was flipped on/off. With these, you have to purposefully hold the dimmer button down to change the setting. Also, the off action causes a gentle 2-3 second dimming to off transition - very nice. I've had these for almost a year and just encountered the first mis-hap. One of the switches was turning off immediately (no 2-3 second transition). I pulled out the tab at the bottom of the switch, waited 10 seconds and then pushed it back in. This apparently resets the switch. After that the switch operated normally.

This dimmer switch has really great compatibility with a large number of generic LED pot lights. Other dimmer brands would cause the LEDs to flicker or have a buzzing noise, but not this one. Installation is pretty straightforward if you have existing switch and swapping it out for the other. The only possible complication in this scenario is the extra depth caused by the bulkiness of the switch, if you have extra wires inside the receptacle. In terms of functionality, the dimmer switch remembers the last brightness setting before switched off. You can also reach maximum brightness by double tapping the switch. What I like most about this dimmer switch is that the change between brightness level is gradual and gentle to the eyes, e.g. from maximum brightness to off. Built quality of the switch is great as well. Highly recommend despite being pricier and no smart wifi connectivity if you are looking for compatibility with generic lights.

Le meilleur gradateur. J'avais 170w sur 20 led, trop paresseux pour split en deux. Ceci ma été recommandé par un électricien après avoir mesuré mon load. Vraiment très bon produit. Je vais l'installer partout dans la maison maintenant!

I installed this in about 10 minutes - mind you, I am an electrician but its not hard even for DIY'ers. It has a brightness memory, a quick full bright on double click, and a fade off. It also has slight illumination of the switch for easy find in the dark with a row of dim LED's. It shows you the current level with those LED's when the light is on. The only thing to get used to is pressing a button instead of flicking a switch or sliding a lever. Adjustment is easy with a separate button for increase or decrease. I recommend this if you can afford it (price is the only thing not going for this) worked great with my dimmable LED bulbs.
