Great product. Easy application. A small amount goes a long way. It applies smooth and silky. I don’t find that it is greasy. It adds a beautiful color and glow to your skin. Smell is pleasant. It did not stain my clothing. I applied it to my legs and feet and stayed in the sun for ten minutes. Color was great. Color intensified throughout the day for me. I will continue to use this product along with my other tanning products. My photo is of my foot when I took my sandal off. You can see the difference in skin.

This tanning gel is amazing! It goes on smoothly, smells great, and really helps accelerate my tan. I noticed a deeper, more even color in just a few uses, and my skin feels soft and moisturized instead of dry like with some other products. A little goes a long way, and it doesn’t feel sticky or greasy. I also love that it gives me that beautiful sun-kissed glow without needing hours in the sun. I love this for tanning. It definitely helps darken your skin pretty quickly. The only thing I dont like is it stains clothes really easily.

I know it works because I just spent a week in Hawaii, and I didn’t use it the first several days because I was afraid of burning. I was trying to build up a base tan first before using this stuff. I ended up using it only on my last two days at the beach. Today... we only got an hour of beach time because we were flying back to SF in the afternoon. So in the morning, before heading out to the beach, I put a light coat (seriously a light coat) of this stuff all over my body... EXCEPT MY FACE. I left my face bare. We spent one hour at the beach, swam in the ocean for about 30 minutes, and my body tanned DARK (even burned a little even though I had a base tan)... but my face barely got any color at all! It’s evening now and I am back from Hawaii... and looking in the mirror it’s very clear that my face is sooo much paler than the rest of my body! I didn’t use any sunscreen, so it’s got to be this tanning lotion that made such a difference. And that’s AFTER SWIMMING and no reapplying! You seriously do not need to reapply this stuff after swimming. It stays on your skin even in water. I love the scent of this lotion, as well. It’s not a fresh scent through... instead it’s a nutty carrot and coconut scent. unusual, however definitely beachy scent. You’ll see what I mean once you get a tub yourself. Not too strong. And the scent doesn’t last. I love the way it smells, personally, and I wouldn’t mind if it lasted a lot longer, in fact. The scent blends great with my beachy summer fragrances. I was skeptical. Now I know this stuff is serious business. If you do not have a base tan, I would use extreme caution with this stuff. Definitely use sunscreen under it, if your skin is not already tan. Or just forget using this until your skin is truly ready for it. Word to the wise. A few other comments: you do not need to use a lot of this, so don’t. You will only waste the product if you use a lot. I’ve made a dent in mine but I’ve still got plenty left to use... over half the bottle. Staining: you do need to be careful with this stuff near your swimsuit if it’s a light colored suit. That’s a bummer, but the staining is not horrendous or highly visible (especially if you are careful and don’t slather this stuff on like frosting a cake...you don’t need a lot anyway). I have not yet washed my bikinis to see if it comes out in the wash. But I’ll let you know if the slight staining comes out once I wash my swim suits. It’s only a slight discoloration near the seams. ————————————————————— A couple years later and I no longer feel excited about this. Whatever waxy chemical that is used in this stuff dries my skin out (over several uses, in an accumulative fashion) and it also behaves strangely on my skin. It does get me very dark very quickly, but I find myself wondering… at what cost? I am actually not normally too concerned about ingredients in skin lotions (I am, but I don’t freak out over occasional mineral oil on my body, or a bit of cones here and there) however the way this stuff behaves does give me pause.

To be honest, I really expected more out of this product due to the high price and hype around it. I don’t see a huge difference in speed and/or darkness of my tan while using this tanning gel. I am exfoliating, shaving, and moisturizing my skin prior to tanning, and I usually tan pretty quickly because of my Italian skin. (and yes, I do have a base tan too.) I think it’s good for moisturizing, but as far as speeding up tanning time I don’t see much of a difference, especially since this product was around $45 when I first bought it. I’ve used this in UV 8 at the beach and didn’t notice any crazy results. It has a pleasant smell, which is good AND bad. It smells like candy which I really enjoy since other tanning products usually smell horrible, but if you’re laying out in your yard, it does attract bugs due to the sweet scent. It is pretty greasy, but nothing a quick rinse can’t fix. I would recommend wearing a black bathing suit or one you don’t care about because this leaves stains that are pretty much impossible to get out; which sucks because it’s red and kinda looks like menstrual blood, so hope you don’t get this on your bikini bottoms!! MY ADVICE TO YOU: I’d get a cheaper drugstore tanning oil.

This product works! It works every time you use it. I have always liked having a tan but don't want to spend that much time in the damaging rays and this product allows exactly that. I have told all my friends about it.
