Great - almost perfect !
These racks install easy and do exactly what you want them to do....haul surfboards. They are probably sturdy enough to haul other stuff but you'd be limited to the structural strength of the roof itself, not the racks. Fully adjustable and I would find it hard to imagine any golf cart roof that they wouldn't install on.I say almost perfect because the tubular foam protective material doesn't cover the side edges outside the support mounts, only the top center cross bar.So, I threw away the foam tubes that come with the rack, went to home depot and picked up iron pipe foam insulation tubes and made my own foam protectors. I now have foam on the cross bar between the supports - AND - on sides on the outside of the supports (just used a little glue to hold them in position). Now when I lift my board onto the rack it only touches foam, not any metal !!Had to give it 5 stars (should be about 4.5 due to the no-foam on the sides) because there is nothing like this available anywhere else and it works perfectly for hauling my surfboard.

Not an easy fit!
My cart has an extended aftermarket roof with a very high crown. This roof is made by Double Take and is thin and flimsy on the edges. I first tried the straps but in order for the pads to contact the roof I had to really pull hard on the straps. This compressed the center of the roof and the straps also pulled outward on the edges of the roof. I knew it would be no time before the straps would tear the roof. I ended up having some teflon spacer blocks made and bolted the rack directly to the roof and threw away the straps. Do not attempt this unless you have tools and know what you are doing. Also, the bungee cords attach at the far ends of the bars. This allows the surfboard to slide all over the place. The bungee attachments should be relocated to just either side of the padding. If I had it to do over, I would not buy this product. And to boot, it costs way more than it is worth.

Needs some adjusting .
Needs sizing work . We had to add foam kayak blocks to roof of our cart to make it fit the roof correctly, and the bungees are not the best quality. We kept though as we use to transport our boards to boat.

Simple to mount, sturdy design.
I debated trying to build my own surf rack for my cart but after looking over parts at Home Depot, I realized that I'd rather go with something less DIY that looked good. Although there weren't really any instructions and a screw was missing, this was a very easy to mount. The roof on my golf cart is modified so this thing doesn't fit perfectly, but it still gets the job done. Works with longboard or shortboard perfectly. My only real complaint is that the padding comes off rather easily-- I already lost mine, but plan to get some new padding and duct tape it to itself.

Great rack. I used a little creativity and added some extra securement devices and also added more foam padding from Home Depot. Holds a long board just fine. About 5" high without board but my EZGO is also taller and longer than most.

Do it.
Use it 3-4 times a week hauling 2 boards a time from a mixture of 2 10'some and 2 7'6's. Installation was simple and looks great on my RXV.
