Bully romance!
“She was a happiness capsule I took every day to ensure I was able to sleep, eat, and live well.”An L.J. Shen marathon, did you say? Oh okay. Yeah i deep dived straight into Vicious and found myself drowning in obsession. I immediately wanted to reread this book.Emilia, daughter to the maid and handyman on the Spencer estate, happens to walk in on the tail end of a private conversation between Vicious and his uncle. Now Vicious hates her, he bullies her, and even forces her to leave town for college. But the line between love and hate are awfully blurry aren’t they?10 years later, Emilia’s broke and living in NYC trying to make ends meet when she sees Vicious at a table she’s waiting on. But this time, he needs something from her. Vicious makes her an offer she can’t refuse, only he’s still the bully he was all those years ago, just a cleaned up lawyer version in an expensive suit. This book had ALL THE DRAMAAA. I loved it. This is a bully romance, and my 5 ⭐️ rating had me invoicing L.J. Shen for my therapy bill, and contemplating what is wrong with me. Vicious is awful, rude, vile. I mean, he calls Emilia “Help,” if that doesn’t scream “run away,” then I don’t know what does. But he was delicious that Vicious. He’s the damaged bad boy, who is absolutely obsessed with Emilia and never got over her, or forgave her.“Apologize,” I ordered, striding in her direction once again. “What for?” Her gaze shifted, and she looked like she was about to throw a punch at me. “For not kissing me back when you clearly wanted to, you little liar. For f**** one of my best friends. For making that year the worst year of my life since I was nine. Apologize for not being mine when you should’ve been. Because Emilia, baby…” I tilted my head sideways. “It was always f**** us and you know it.”The obsession gets me every time. Vicious is psychotic. There were some violent moments between him and Dean that had me so hot, I was packing a bag to check myself into a mental hospital. There was so much drama in this, and some twists. Pink and black? Swooonnn*It’s been 2 days and I’m still not over Vicious. Pls send help.5 ⭐️1.5 🌶️

Good vs Bad
Vicious is the first book in the Sinners of Saints series. It's a bully, enemies to lovers trope in the New Adult genre. This book is full of punch you in the face emotion, pull your hair out realistic and fan yourself steam with a sincere HEA. Trigger Warning: BullyingBaron "Vicious" Spencer met and Emilia LeBlanc while in their senior year of high school. He hated her immediately because he thought she heard something that she shouldn't have and because she looked like his step mom. Vicious is full of anger, cruel and downright BAD. Him and his 3 best friends are the Kings off All Saints High School. Baron makes Emilia's senior year miserable, he calls her Help, makes her break up with her boyfriend and runs her out of town after graduation.10 years later, Baron is in New York and Emilia is his waitress. He maybe a adult now but he is still mean and thinks he can order her around. Emilia is still a good girl but is bribed right back into his realm of payback and revenge. He lies, cheats and steals, Emilia is fooled once again, then decides no more and stands her ground!Plans that Vicious has blows up unexpectedly while things are looking better for Emilia. Baron recognizes his wake up call, that if he ever wants to be happy, that he needs to compromise and be able to put someone else first. Hard Lesson, but it's that or nothing...

Enemies to lovers 4 stars good
Vicious is called vicious for a reason. He hates Amalia who’s the girl living on his estate with her parents. He calls her Help because her parents work for his parents. He’s the ring leader in high school. Taunting everyone he wants to and kicking everyone a$$. He has the scares to prove it.Millie overhears a conversation between vicious and his stepmoms brother in the library and although she has no clue what its all about Vicious hates her for having overheard it, knowing his secret.Still Millie sees him in a light no one else does. And unlike most she stands up to him with nothing to lose since he clearly hates her. But he also wants her to the point of hating her for it. She’s his obsession. The one he couldn’t have. They run into each other years later and he decides to force her to work for him knowing she needs the money to take care of her sick sister who lives with her. So he makes her an offer she can’t refuse and wants her to testify on his behalf how badly his stepmom and her brother treated him as a child beating him which is what he thinks Millie’s knows since over hearing the conversation in the library. His father is dying and Vicious hope to leave his stepmom out in the cold and the will. And holy everything vicious, so much drama and back and forth it was accelerating!

Bully Enemy to Lovers.
This series started in high school and I was unsure if I’d like it however I’m happy to report that that’s not the case for this book as it does do flashbacks to 10 years prior (in high school) it’s all relative to the story. He’s definitely dark and slightly twisted but deep down he can be sweet he just has to have the right girl to bring it out. I feel like a better wrap up on their story would have been nice as it only really summed up the point that she got her immediate dream and he went back to his business. But overall I enjoyed the book even though he is slightly annoying in the sense of being a jerk and knowing it.

cherry blossoms
The story goes back and forth between the past and the present and between Vicious Spencer and Emilia LeBlanc, and their love-hate relationship. Emilia is gentle, an artist, poor, and in love with Vic. Vicious is broken, mean, filthy rich, a lawyer, and wants Emilia, or Help as he calls her at whatever cost. They wanted each other since high school, they meet again in a club in New York and fireflies go wild between them again. He decides to help her out financially if she helps him out legally AND he plans to get in her pants. The mouse and cat chase between them is hot. But I got to admit, Vicious is horrible and SO mean! I think Ophelia Lovibond will make a lovely Emilia.

Best enemies to lovers book out there
There are many books with billionaire tropes who are dark and soulless but for me Vicious will be the most memorable. He hates that he wants Amelia, hates her southern accent, her Lavender hair, hates that she’s so kind hearted, honest and beautiful. Amelia on the other hand has no idea what she’s done to have Vicious bully and torment her daily. The book goes back and forth from past to present which I enjoyed unravelling slowly to understand what actually happened between Amelia, Vicious and his best friend Dean when they were in High School together. For me Vicious’s character is what makes this book a joy to read. I loved his deadpan, can’t be arsed with people and his self righteous behaviour of a billionaire who could make or break lives so easily. I shouldn’t like him after knowing how he treats Amelia, but you know there’s a heart there waiting to be heard and become vulnerable for once.My favourite part was when they were Pen Pals in High School where Vicious gave Amelia insight to his personality and let her in a little bit and to both of their surprise realised they were similar. However they never openly acknowledged writing to each other or knew who the other person was.If you like this book then I strongly recommend you read another LJ Shen book called The Villian which is in the same vein as Vicious - cold hearted Billionaires who love to be mean to the ones they love.

An okay read.
This was an okay read. Vicious is indeed vicious, down right nasty but it took far too long for him to redeem himself, although the character for that part is well written. Without giving away the plot there is a root cause to his nastiness which is painful but its revealed too late, and as he confided in a responsible adult it is unbelievable that he wasn't helped as a child. His behaviour toward Emillia is in no way endearing until the very end by which time it's ridiculous that she wants anything to do with him. The Black and Pink thing could have been so much more, it would have made their connection so much better if it had been brought in earlier and expanded. The fact that he is so strongly reminded of his hated, evil stepmother when he looks at Emillia yet he is so captivated by her is really perverse and the middle section could have been tightened up to give the story more drive. All that being said I still read on and wanted a decent ending which was delivered even though it was done with a bit of a fairytale flourish. I can't make up my mind about this author, some of the writing and characterisation is really good and then there are juvenile weaknesses that let the book down.

if this is obsession sign me up!
Oh my goodness let me count the ways I absolutely loved this book! First let me apologise if a babble through this review because I read this book in hours and I am still incredibly book hungover!- enemies to lovers- Bully- Second chances- Good girl/ bad boy- 1st book in series (different couples)Our two leads are Emilia LeBlanc and Baron ‘Vicious’ Spencer and holy Jesus and his crew, it is viciously explosive!! They haven’t seen each other in 10 years, their hated for each other is still just as strong but we all know what they say about love and hate 😏Vicious is as the name intended, he is the bad boy rich kid who turns has turned into a richer, badder ALL man!He hated Emilia from the moment his eyes met hers, he was obsessed with her and he definitely didn’t want anyone else to have her. So much so that he runs her out of her home, out of town and as far away from him as he can. He is troubled, broken, tortured by his past, a past he believes Emilia knows more about than she should and he hates it. He isn’t weak and will not let anyone think he is. 10 years after he scars her away he is in her part of the world, fate throws them back into each others paths. She has nothing, he has everything, he still hates that he wants her. So he decides to use her. Will he push her away for good this time? Will be let the past stay where it is or will he destroy them both?I have never hated that I loved someone so much as I did Vicious. He made me laugh, scream at my kindle, want to shake him, cuddle and climb inside him all at the same time!!Emilia is sweet, caring, hard working, determined and feisty as hell! I loved her, I loved her strength, her relationship with her sister and how she refuses to take Vicious crap. She leaves for the sake of her family, she isn’t scared of him, she’s scared of how much she still wants him and she can’t fight it. Now he’s back in her life still demanding things that she doesn’t want to do but she knows she will- her sister needs things that she can provide for with the only job she has left. He was her bully, her obsession, her muse and her enemy but she wants him. She always has and fears she always will.Has Vicious met his match in Emilia? Can she forgive him?Or will she end up running away? This book literally has everything and made me feel everything!!Lies, secrets, love, family drama, darkness, hotness and oh so emotional.I could go on and on! I could have quoted the whole damn book! A reread is definitely in its future!I need more!! I really hope we get to see these two within the rest of the series, I am now the one that is obsessed.Highly recommend and I can’t wait to read more.

Vicous and Emilia are inevitable.
Enemies to more books are some of my favourites , because the hero and heroine are so set against each other, watching them fall in love is so much sweeter. They say there is a very thin line between love and hate, and this could not be truer for Emilia Le Blanc and Vicious Spencer.Vicious and Emilia have known each other since they were 18, when Millie’s parents started working on the Spencer estate. Vicious takes an instant disliking to Millie, who has no idea why, and from there, bullying and other awful events take place, leading to Millie being driven out of their town, Todos Santos, after graduation. When they meet again ten years later, Vicious is the same merciless man, and the minute Emilia Le Blanc reappears in his life, he knows he can use her to his advantage to get the revenge he so desperately wants.Vicious Spencer is the world’s biggest a$$hole. He is ruthless and cruel, he lives up to his nickname time and time again, and he is the most outwardly awful member of the Four HotHoles. Vic is everything men want to be, gorgeous, rich, powerful and a player. But he has deep rooted issues, which mean he treats everyone except his three closes friends as temporary and never makes meaningful connections, even though it’s clear he is capable of love through his friendship with the boys, he’s just picky over who’s worthy of it. He has secrets and a past and has spent years planning revenge on those who did him wrong. He is vindictive and callous, hiding his pain behind an angry façade so when Emilia turns up at his door, she immediately has a target on her back, because she is so good.Emilia is sweet and light, both at 18 and ten years later, when she is living in New York caring for her younger sister Rosie, who has cystic fibrosis. She is the only person in the world who is immune to Vicious and his cruel ways, she stands up to him and gives it back. ‘Her indifference to my power somewhat disarmed me’ is the perfect quote to describe how Emilia is around Vic. She is also the good that he most desperately wants but doesn’t think he is deserving of. Her refusal to compromise is outstanding and she challenges Vicious every step of the way. Sometimes it’s hard to see the love between them, but the more you read, you see that their relationship is blurred, just like the line between love and hate. His awful actions as a teenager and also ten years later are barely forgivable, but when he reveals his truth to Millie, you can begin to understand the man behind the monster and fall in love with him too.Vicious’ character evolves rapidly throughout this book as he lets down the wall to Millie and I loved him. He shouldn’t be likable, but he is, especially as he spends more time with Millie, not just for his need for revenge. He feels so guilty about what he did to her in the past, he knows he was wrong, and that’s why he was so different to other bully’s in romance novels, he feels remorse. He always loved her, he just didn’t want anyone else to have her until he was ready. Their attraction is strong, and their coupling is inevitable. The other FHH, Trent, Jamie, and Dean, are very similar to Vicious in terms of how they live their lives, but I know that they too have reasons for behaving the way they do. These men don’t act like a$$holes for the sake of it, they have reasons which they keep buried, not even revealing them to each other. I loved revisiting Jaime and Mel and seeing the start Trent and Dean’s story’s play out has me hooked again. None of these men are finding their HEAs through the conventional way and that’s what makes their stories even more memorable and intriguing.Vicious is told in dual-pov which is needed for this type of book to truly understand how the mind of Vicious Spencer works, it’s the perfect dark enemies to more read. An alpha possessive hero who you want to hate but can’t help but love (I don’t know how LJ does that, so many books with similar H I just dislike them). A heroine who will fight for herself and stand up to others but is so open and accepting with the man she loves. Scenes which will make you swoon, but also make you blush and light the pages of the book on fire. A plot which grips you from start to finish and twists you can’t see coming, the ending was perfect and showed how much he had changed, because you will learn the Vicious never does something he doesn’t want to do. I am re-reading this series for a second time and I actually forgot how much I loved Vicious Spencer.

Ask Me What I Want...
This book consumed me whole and I could not put it down! Highly addictive and irresistible, loving the bad boy never felt so good. Vicious is one mean bully intent on making life miserable for Emilia who he refers to as "Help" at his father’s estate. His fellow crew members consisting of Jaime, Trent, and Dean aptly named as the Four Hotholes rule their school and every girl wants in their pants. The vibe and energy coming off this book was just electric and I was so hooked.Vicious is a troubled guy and Emilia happens to be his target so a hate relationship follows from teens and continues as adults, with Vicious tormenting, pushing and teasing Emilia but she is one girl who can stand her ground unafraid to go against Vicious and butt heads as he tries to bring her down, and constantly tries to put her in her place as only being the hired help, adamant in denying his feelings for her whilst still trying to own her. The spark and banter between Vicious and Emilia as they riled each other up was so entertaining and hot as hell just craving that first kiss, that first moment where everything explodes and there’s no turning back. I loved and appreciated that the story was told in dual pov of Emilia and Vicious. This book has a love to hate you vibe, with cruel intentions, the bad boy v the good girl, mixed with suspense, betrayal, sacrifices, heartache, redemption, bad boys, friendship, facing consequences, ego, sexy scenes, sweet moments all delivered by one sexy possessive badass, Baron Spencer aka Vicious.Vicious was my first read by L.J Shen, I loved her writing style and her alpha men, its one of my favourite reads of 2017 and left me in a worse case of book hangovers! Fans of Bully by Penelope Douglas and Fear me by B.B Reid will love this!
