Life and house saving!
Saved our lives and our home!! I was trying to fall asleep and had a feeling something wasn't right. I checked the house and attached garage to find flames climbing the wall the garage shared with the house and about to engulf the ceiling beams. The extinguisher took out the flames in less than a minute. I called the fire department to check the walls and electrical system and ensure there were not any hot spots - there were several. Took them 20+ minutes to get here. Our lives and home would have been very different without this investment. You can't put a price tag on your life or that of your family!

The right fire extinguisher for a commercial kitchen setting
The BEST extinguisher for a potential grease fire emergency ! The end user (owner) can perform each MONTHLY Inspection themselves. However, the owner will have to take their fire extinguishers to a fire extinguisher service facility to have the Required NFPA ANNUAL Inspections performed !

Great Fire Extinguisher for Kitchens
I used an ABC fire extinguisher in my kitchen once, after I had somehow caught a batch of cookies on fire. I almost wish it has burned my house down. Cleaning up after using those "red" ABC extinguishers is HORRIBLE. Ugh. So I purchased this for my kitchen, liquid chemical. Like the ones they use in restaurants and is good for the types of things you'd catch on fire, like oils and such. Plus WAY, way way way way less mess to your house. I had some issues getting my unit. Mostly roughed up in shipping issues I think. But recently received my NEW unit, complete with wall mount bracket. The company was reasonable to work with in getting my replacement, and I am now at peace, that next time I have a kitchen fire, I have a reliable solution to putting out the fire that won't ruin my house.

Professional piece of equipment
This extinguisher is a professional, well-built unit I'm using in my kitchen at home. It's a huge step up from the cheap little "consumer" extinguishers. I know two people who tried to use their consumer extinguishers and had them not work despite a needle indicating they were charged. Just looking at this beast I have no doubt it will work if I ever need it to. There are only two things that keep it from being a 5. First, the hook for hanging it on the wall doesn't quite stick out far enough from the wall. Thus, the hook on the extinguisher doesn't fully hook onto it. Maybe this is the way it's supposed to be but I'd be more comfortable if it slid onto the hook farther. A smaller Amerex I have in my shop does slide all the way onto its hook. The second issue involves the hose. When the extinguisher arrived the hose wasn't attached but the instructions don't show how it is supposed to go on. The nozzle at the end is at an angle to the hose and can thus point out away from the extinguisher or in toward it. There is a safety sign included that has a little cartoon of the extinguisher on it and it shows the nozzle pointing away from the extinguisher. The pictures I could find of it on the Amerex web site, though, show it the other way. That site also says the nozzle rotates but mine doesn't appear to unless it's really, really hard to turn. I put as much force on it as I thought safe and it didn't budge. So I'm a bit concerned I may not have it assembled correctly. I tried to contact Amerex about this via their web site but got no response.

Install is very easy. Just follow the instructions and safety measures.
Arrived ready to use. Easy to use if you have at least the basic fire extinguisher know how. Fire extinguisher training should be a must for everyone.
